I would not like to get an illness or get ran over by a wagon on the trail which sadly did happen. Also I would not like to travel that far and get attacked or die of starvation. The west would be too hard of a journey and definitely a journey I would not like to take. I would also not because I don't want to run out of anything or meet any storms along the way. I also would not like to go because I was already used to my land that is not in the West and I would not like to leave my family and friends. I wouldn't want to go and maybe come across animals that could hurt me. I don't care if it is getting crowded where I live I would still stay. I would not want to go on the trail because many didn't make it to Oregon and also there were many challenges along the way. Even though there would be many better opportunities for me and my family I don't think it is really worth risking our lives to go west when we might not even make it there alive. There would also be many diseases traveling with many people and accidentally drinking unclean water or having bad hygiene. I just want our family to be safe and I don't think it would be a good idea because I would lose many loved ones along the way as well and we could only bring a limited amount of supplies.
