I am Glenda Ballesteros, I came from a place where you can visit beautiful beaches and taste delicious fruits and foods — the Philippines. I’ve been in Canada since June 19, 2022. I studied Accounting Technology at the University of the East and graduated last December 2016. Now that I have the chance to study again, I chose Hospitality Management at Acsenda to pursue a different career which connects me to my passion for food, cooking, and meeting different people from different places as well. When I graduate, I plan to work in different establishments like hotels, restaurants or casinos to learn and equip myself on how they were able to survive, or on how they operate, because I want to have a hotel and restaurant someday.

Javier from the home of world-renowned natural wonders - the Philippines. I just recently got my visa approval which is why I ended up scheduling my flight for the end of July 2022.
 
I believe that education has no limits as long as we work hard for it. I really love studying and gaining more knowledge because it is a treasure that no one can take away from me. As a matter of fact, I also finished my master’s degree in Business Administration after obtaining my diploma course (Business Administration major in Financial Management) and I also took Teacher’s Certificate Program all in my home country. I started reflecting on my education and I think I can do it better; I can make a difference. This led me to make the decision to continue studying again. At first, I was afraid and scared because maybe I can’t finish it until the end, but I still look at the brighter side of it. And that’s when I decided to continue my international degree for some reasons. First, I realized that it is important to keep my mind active as I get older, and to continue learning new skills, and new knowledge on an on-going basis. Second, It’s for my own self-fulfillment and eagerness to learn more. It is nice to know that I’m doing something good for myself because sometimes we know what’s best for our life. And lastly, just like everyone, to transform better for my career someday.
