Its import to focus on the standards of the grade level and not move on too quickly because the students may forget what they should have mastered

The standards were rather complicated to understand. It makes me wonder how a teacher ensures they are adequately and correctly teaching these standards.

The first activity where one would guess the number of items in a jar is an activity my internship teacher does weekly. She alters it a bit where students will guess a number, then go over the clues, and finally see if anyone originally guessed the correct number.

While looking at the standards is daunting, upon dissection I found that I understood more than I thought.

Most of us don't have brain development for math when we are taught it.

The math we learn usually clicks later in our adult years and we use it more.

No one can read a clock even though it's a standard.

Math standards have a bit of an easier standards map to follow. I think that comes from Math having specific subject matter that easier to segment. Like addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, measurement, etc.

I don't know how you teach online class (behind a screen) all day and still have the energy for the online class...so thank you for having great energy and enthusiasm about math since it my struggle subject. With that said I could use breaks since it's a big chunk of time to be behind a screen.
