Many of you are thinking about principal contracts for 2023-2024.   Policy 1115 lays out how to determine the principal's salary.  The policy states that no current principal's salary should be reduced solely due to this policy.

 

For new principals, policy 1115 is now mandatory, and the following applies:

Per P1115, the licensed principal's minimum base salary will be calculated by determining the current salary ceiling derived from the Diocesan Lay Teacher's Salary Scale.

Based on Policy 1115, additional amounts above the minimum base salary may be granted the pastor's discretion based on the following diocesan guidelines for the size of the school (see the policy for those amounts):

If a Pastor wishes to go above the scale in an individual case, permission must be received from the Vicar General after the Vicar General has consulted with the Superintendent.
