  • By visiting the terracotta warriors, we get a deeper insight on the beginnings of modern-day China. In addition, it is fascinating to see the life-sized terracotta figures as they are all have different facial features. I am extremely interested to see the weapons they used at the time in the military too! The history of the terracotta warriors dates back to when they were built to protect the then Emperor Qin, in the afterlife. From what I heard, there are also life-sized clay horses located within the monument. I imagine that the presence of up to 8000 warriors, with determination on their faces, ready and to go to war. This really entices me as I am largely interested in Chinese History and visiting the terracotta warriors will let me have an insight on how military operated during that time.
