One bright Monday morning, Janelle is going to recieve her mid year exam papers .When the teacher called her name to collect her exam paper,she had butterflies in her stomach.She wished to pass the exam because she pass the exam once in a blue moon.If she pass this time,her parents will buy for her the newest Iphone. Surprisingly, she passed with flying colours. I woke up in the pink of health. Today, I am attending my first swimming test. I'm having the test at Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex. Today is also my birthday. I went downstairs and had breakfast. "Jack, we will be having your cake after you have taken your test,"my mother said to me. "Okay." I replied. I quickly ate my breakfast and took a shower before going off. Since I am turning twelve years-old today, I have to start to stand up on my own feet. I told my mother I will go there myself. When I arrived at the complex, I had butterflies in my stomach. But when I first stepped into the water, they flew away. I was lucky it was not raining cats and dogs.

One day, when I woke up in the pink of health, It was raining cats and dogs. I quickly brushed my teeth and ate my breakfast. After eating, I quickly changed into my uniform, took an umbrella and went to school.

When I got to school ,I had forgotten that I had a math test today and also forgot to study for it. When I got to the classroom, the teacher gave us the test paper, I trembled in fear as I held the test paper.

I tried to do the questions but I could only do a few of them. I saw that the teacher was not looking, so I quickly looked at my friends paper and copied his answer.One month later, my teacher returned the tests to the class, I saw that I got eighty-five out of hundred. My teacher smelled a rat as I get high marks once in a blue moon.,so she decided to check the CCTV that was in the classroom in the morning as School was almost over.When I got home,I told my mother that I passed with flying colours.I told my mother a cock and bull story to my mother that I had studied very hard.The next morning, my teacher checked the CCTV and found out that I cheated.In class,the teacher asked me whether I had cheated and I said no.Just then,a student told my teacher that he saw me copying and the teacher caught me red handed.I was punished by the teacher.

I must say that dad and mom really see eye to eye about my exam papers.I gotten 99/100 and I passed with flying colours.So as a reward they are going to bring me to one of the most popular shopping mall in Singapore.

I was like a fish out of water at the shopping mall when we reached there.I only visit the mall once in a blue moon. The shopping mall was remodeled a few months ago.I felt I'm in new world this made me feel like I have butterflies in my stomach.

Dad gave me $5000 as my parents are very rich.I walked around to see if I am interested in anything but nothing got my attention. But when I passed the shop called 'Challenger' something caught my eye.I saw the latest handphone in there as I heard that it could give information in a second and can help me with my studies.

The time when I was about to pay, the cashier gave me terrifying smile, I smell something fishy about it, I paid and took the handphone and ran to my parents who was waiting for me.

When we got home I was so excited to open the box, so the second we first step in the house I opened the box but I cried instead of being joyful.I cried because inside the box was a spoiled handphone .When dad heard me crying and learned what happened he was as angry as a bull.

So we went back to the mall and walked furiously back to 'Challenger' and asked the cashier why the handphone was spoiled but he said it like a cock and a bull story .We asked for a refund but he said we they can't give back a refund as his manager will be mad.But his colleague said that was not true at all ,he said it was him who changed the handphone to the spoiled one.

So the cashier was caught red-handed , got fired and thanks to his truthful friend, I got the latest, functionalhandphone that I want.

I did the best I can and luckily, after I have done the test, my coach announced I passed it with flying colours. I got so excited, I jumped out of the pool, thanked my coach and carefully walked to the changing room. I changed in the flash of lightning and dashed out in a hurry. I boarded the bus and arrived home soon. As I walked in, I heard a cheer,"Congratulations and happy birthday!"my whole family exclaimed. "What do you mean congratulations?" I asked, confused. My father then related the story to me as he saw my face and explained that my coach had called up and told the good news. After that, we all sat down and had a great feast. I got the lion's share of the cake. It was chocolate and vanilla, my favourite. It was truly an exciting day for me.
