The use of a reliable figure (Lawyer , Doctor, Celebrity etc.) to endorse an idea/product in the hopes it coerces people into believe what is being sold. It increase the creditability thus increases the believability.


Connection:
The attached picture is an example of a celebrity endorsement to entice others who may follow the same lifestyle as Kourtney Kardashian and buy an expensive detox. Since Kourtney is known to only eat healthy substances consumers would most likely believe in the product. Which wold otherwise not sell at all without Kourtney's being the face of the product.
