I live with my family, which includes my parents, grandparents, brother, myself, and my dog Isaac. I live about a 20 minutes’ drive from Niagara Falls. I was born in England, but moved to Canada when I was quite young.  

 

As for my background, I studied history in my undergrad, then took a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) certificate and went abroad for three and a half years to teach. Upon returning to Canada, I completed a TESL diploma and started teaching at the college level, preparing students for entrance into their chosen programs. 

 

I am doing my MEd in Curriculum Studies and have completed seven courses so far; I began in May, 2018. I am taking three courses in the winter, which means I should be graduating soon, barring any complications.

As for this course, I hope to be able to design different types of courses for ESL students. I have already taken Curriculum Development and Program Planning, so hope to be apply to synthesize all of the concepts I have learned to create new and unique courses. I am particularly interested in blended classrooms (bringing online and in-class components together).

I have played sports all my life and still play hockey. I love horror movies and reading classic literature.
