Needless to say, facing pieces of information and news articles around the internet, objectivity, and deep scrutiny are necessary; this is where News Literacy comes in handy. It basically means the ability to analyze news-related information we see around the internet critically. Media is filled with fake news and misinformation (both intentional and unintentional), which is why analyzing such details are important. There was once, during pre-election when I corrected someone who was sadly being baited by false information about this one politician. What she shared was false, misleading, and potentially harmful information. I confronted him in a way she knows me best, through a humorous yet established method. On the contrary, no one has confronted me over fake information, knowing I thoroughly check the things I post and share online.
