For a very long time this cultural landscape had been used for traveling and to live on. It provided life and salt for the Native Americans, but in 1919 it became a national park were animals such as river otters and rare birds and plants lived in. Many people consider The Grand Canyon to be one of the seven wonders of the natural world, that is why it is one of the greatest tourist attractions of the United States. 

Nowadays you can hike, raft, skydive and sightsee on this area, but overnight camping is also very popular. The Grand Canyon has some of the cleanest air in the United States and the transportation is also well organized. I think that everybody that has the chance, should/must visit this incredible natural phenomenon.

The War in Afghanistan started after the 9/11 terrorist suicide attacks in 2001. Almost three thousand people died. The president back then ‘George W. Bush of the United States believed that Osama Bin Laden was the man behind these attacks and that he caused these attacks.

Bin Laden was the head of the al-Qaeda. The Taliban that controlled most of Afghanistan, allowed them to have training camps in Afghanistan. When the Taliban refused to hand over Bin Laden that was hiding in Afghanistan, the United States declared war on Afghanistan. 

In October, they established ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’ to battle the terrorists in collaboration with their allies and the Afghan Northern Alliance. The Northern Alliance was a group that was against the Taliban. For the next several years, they were working on defeating the Taliban and killing Osama Bin Laden. 

On May, 2011, the United States found Bin Laden in Pakistan and killed him. In 2014 president Barack Obama announced that the United States ended their operations in Afghanistan. 

On August, 2017, president Donald Trump revealed during his speech that he would increase the American attendance in Afghanistan.  America’s longest war, still isn’t over after all these years and there is no end in sight.

It started when the brothers were fooling around with music instruments and making music on products such as oatmeal boxes. Their father noticed them playing music and that’s when he decided to form a family group. Soon they participated in talent shows and signed their first contract in 1967. 

In 1971 the Jackson 5 appeared on several television shows including Dianna Ross’ 1971 special which was a special moment for the brothers. They also reached the Billboard Hot 100 with several number-one singles such as the famous ‘ABC’. ‘I’ll Be There’ became their fourth number-one single and became internationally famous. In only two years they made seven top ten singles. ‘Motown’, an American record company, announced them as the best-selling group.

Unfortunately they weren’t satisfied with the contract they signed for ‘Motown’. They only earned 2,8 % per record , so that’s why they signed a contract for ‘Epic Records’. They had to change their name and that’s when they became ‘The Jacksons’. 

Soon it turned out that Michael wanted to release solo singles. There were already rumors that he was going to split up from his brothers and eventually after their final performance at the ‘Dodger Stadium’ he left his brothers and continued his solo career. 

After Michael leaving, Marlon Jackson also announced that he was leaving to pursue a solo career. In 1989 the remaining brothers released an album which was a fail. The group fell apart and they never recorded another album again.
