I have always learned by a teacher explaining the material to me and then by showing me examples of how to do what it is they are asking of me. I have always felt that when my teachers showed their personality their humorous side their own personal experiences they are not a robot just saying here is the material now do what I am asking, so I can collect my check and go home. They show that they are human beings just like the rest of us. The best teacher shows you step by step how to do a problem and they sit patiently by your side to make sure that you understand what you are learning. I also believe that a parent and the community around a child are the most influential people in a students life. If a child sees that the adults in their lives are walking around defeated than they will probably grow up thinking in the same nature. I cannot stress enough how important it is to be actively involved in a child’s life and in their school life.
