With a PhD in higher education from Southern Illinois University, and a Master&#39;s degree in Clinical Psychology from Murray State University, Dr. Kimberly Barrett has provided strategic advice on promoting inclusive excellence at workplaces, creating and assessing diversity-enhancing programs, managing complex personnel issues, and establishing beneficial collaborations with community partners. She offers consulting services through her firm KB Compassionate Consulting.

Possessing extensive experience in higher education, Dr. Kimberly Barrett served as the vice president of diversity and inclusion at Lawrence University, where she successfully reduced systemic inequities and implicit bias across university processes. These efforts resulted in the university receiving a 2020 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award from Insight into Diversity Magazine. Before that, Dr. Kimberly Barrett served as vice president of multicultural affairs and community engagement at Wright State University, where she increased faculty diversity and reduced reported student discrimination occurrences by 11 percent (per campus climate surveys). Dr. Kimberly Barrett has also served as an associate vice chancellor of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and dean of students at Southeast Missouri State University.

Dr. Kimberly Barrett sits on the board of directors of United Way Fox Cities. She previously sat on the boards of Wisconsin Women in Higher Education and Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering and practicing yoga.
