Got all of my reading groups done! I only had one student crying at the end and she was my own so that doesn't really count does it? (I told her her AR score should have been a 100%-hence why I would NEVER have my own kids in class). I really had no clue how used to my schedule and team I have grown accustomed. I really missed them!  Mrs. Reece has taught her kids routines and procedures so that made my job easy!  Great fun day but always glad to be back in my room.  
On a side note: My class feels like Mr. Phillips needs to learn a little expression when it comes to read alouds- feel free to come down anytime and practice! I love seeing how things are done in other classes.  I love seeing the set up of the rooms and the different learning styles. I also, thought it was good to be in the place of a substitute. I found myself going over the time I was supposed to use for math.  I am so trained in my own class, I know when to switch.  I loved this experience but I am exhausted!

We usually eat with our grade level or department. Today, teachers were crossing those normal boundaries and having conversations which included lots of laughter with different departments and grade levels.  What a great way to fellowship and get to know the teachers that we don't normally see during the day.

I respect teachers of the little guys.  I think the younger the grade--the harder it gets.  The content might be harder in higher grades but trying to get kids to understand gets harder as the kids get younger.  The teachers who lay the foundation have a big responsibility.   It was fun spending time with the little ones and changing up the routine today.  But I have to say that I missed my kids. I appreciate them more after having been away from them.
