She also had played in 4 world cups with the U.S. women team in 2003, 2007, 2011,and in 2015 before retiring. however her career was not always the best her and her team lost to Japan, but not fearing and training harder and beating the Japan team. In the 2015 tournament she was known "the soul of the U.S. teams" by NY times when she finally won the world cup. She was the FIFA world player of the year in 2012. In the October of 2013 she had married Sarah Huffman which had also played competitive soccer . She is known as an international leader one confessing her wrong when she was driving under influence of alcohol on April 2nd ,2016.
