"So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

This verse gives a promise that God will always be there to pick us up in hard times and help us through these tough temptations we may face. You have to stand firm, but also be sure to not fall. After all, it's easier to fall when you don't stand for anything at all.

He is helping to try to help the people of the church in Corinth because he is trying to teach them to trust fully in God and not in people. Culturally, it is the same as today because the problems that they have back then are still the same problems that we have today. One of the main biblical teachings in Corinthians is division. Many people in the church in Corinth are choosing teachers and leaders because they like their way of teaching or their different way of living. He also talks about how the church are crashing together and falling apart but instead of this, Paul says the all he people in the church should work together to make each other stronger.
