The main plot of the book is great it climaxes at the Challenger disaster. The characters are good and seem like they are real people. They are Cash, who is a boy with a broken wrist, has failed 7th grade, and loves Basketball. Fitch is a kid that loves the arcade and has a bad temper. Last but not least, Bird is a smart girl who likes NASA and engineering, she is the main driver of the plot. All of the kids are in the 7th grade at the same time as the Challenger's explosion live on TV. There are new friends being made and lost and loads of intrigue. In conclusion, the book is great and is a five-star book that you should read if you get the chance.

The Challenger disaster was an event that happened on January 28, 1986, it was mostly blamed on the cold weather of the day(36f). FUN FACT there was a plan to send Big Bird on the challenger but was cancelled due to his large size. The tragic event was blamed on NASA higher ups and the Reagan administration. The disaster happened in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Learning more about this event can add more understanding to the book.
