Thesis:

Bullying is the use of violence, threats, or coercion to intimidate others. This behavior can become habitual and involve an imbalance of social and physical power. This behavior may include verbal abuse or threats, physical violence or coercion, and may be directed repeatedly against a specific victim. It may be based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, or ability.

Argumentation:

Firstly, this is a very serious and dangerous problem for our social environment. We must stop every act of bullying because there are many impacts that can threaten all levels of society involved, not only for children who are bullied, but also for children who carry out bullying, children who witness bullying, even for those who school. bullying issue. Bullying can have a bad influence on a child's physical and mental health. In severe cases, bullying can trigger fatal actions, such as suicide. Examples of bullying cases in Indonesian schools include:Students with disabilities in Yogyakarta are victims of bullying

A student with disabilities at a state junior high school in Wonosari, Gunungkidul, DIY, suffered a broken finger as a result of being bullied by his school friends on Wednesday (21/2) afternoon.

The student with the initials RAN is now undergoing treatment at the Wonosari Regional Hospital and has to undergo surgery to repair the fracture of the little finger of his left hand.

"After being x-rayed, his little finger was broken and had to be operated on and a pen inserted. I was in the operating room, and when I was about to have surgery, my child coughed and didn't have surgery, tomorrow," said Wasido, father of the victim student in Gunungkidul, Thursday (22/2).

Wasido said RAN often received inappropriate treatment from his friends.

Secondly, there are several problems that children who are victims of bullying may experience. The first are various mental problems such as depression, anxiety and difficulty sleeping; This problem may carry over until the victim grows up. Acts of bullying will be very difficult for the victim to forget. Second, there are physical health complaints such as headaches, stomach aches and muscle tension. Third, there is insecurity in the school environment. Fourth, decreased enthusiasm for learning and academic achievement. Fifth, in rare cases, victims of bullying tend to show violent traits.

Thirdly, bullying does not only have an impact on the victim, the impact of bullying can also have an impact on the perpetrator of the bullying. Based on research, when they grow up, children who bully have a greater tendency to behave violently, commit crimes, commit vandalism, consume drugs and alcohol, and engage in promiscuity. Additionally, sixty percent of boys who bullied their friends in elementary or middle school had been convicted of at least one crime by age 24.

Futhermore, by witnessing bullying, children can also feel the impact. They may have a great tendency to feel insecure when at school, they may have mental problems such as depression, anxiety, and traumatic feelings. Moreover, they abuse alcohol and drugs because of stress.

finally, the school where the bullying occurs also feels the impact. This creates a feeling of insecurity in the school environment. In addition, teaching and learning activities may not be effective. Apart from that, moral education in schools is also questionable.

Reiteration:

In closing, from the argument above ,it is clear that bullying is a very terrible thing and we must stop it because of its dangerous impacts such as physical and mental health problems, decreased quality of performance or work, bad image, possibility or tendency to commit crimes, alcohol abuse. . and drugs, even suicide. This impact is not only felt by the victim, but also by the perpetrator, witnesses to the perpetrator, and the place where the bullying occurred. Well, here teachers can take action so that there are no more cases of bullying at school, so teachers can take steps to overcome bullying at school, including:

1. Helping Bully Victims to Defend Themselves

2. Must be actively involved in handling bullying

3. Educate perpetrators regarding bullying

4. Say Thank You to Students Who Have Reported

5. Talk to Involved Children Separately

6. Follow up on bullying issues

7. Respond to Bullying Incidents Seriously

8. Contact the Perpetrator's Parents

9. Seek Help from External Parties.
