The picture below represents how plants look so lovely within the home and add that pop of nature, but there are also so many other reasons that plants are good for the environment and society. The presence of plants influences humidity, rainfall, and temperature. Due to plants, food and habitat can be provided to wildlife and humans. Plants also provide oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide, and help regulate the water cycle.

The animation below presented all the information on photosynthesis in a quick summary but it was really easy to follow. I also loved how the animation not only discussed the information but also included photos in order to provide visuals of what happens throughout the entire process. It gave me the opportunity to understand the process of photosynthesis because it included images of what was being discussed. For example, a photo of the structure of a chloroplast in the "larger picture" but it also zoomed into the chloroplasts so that I could understand each part of the structure of the chloroplast.

It is important to note that there are other species of lady ferns found in North America, Central America, South America, and Eurasia but only this species is found in Georgia.

The biome that I would consider to be most in danger of ecological changes would be the Taiga. The threats that the Taiga is facing have to due with humans and their wrongdoings. Deforestation is one of the main threats and it is the cutting down of trees. Climate change is another threat that the Taiga faces because it is caused by global warming. The animals in the Taiga have adapted to the colder climate and would be unable to survive in warmer climates which could lead to endangerment. Extinction of the native species in the Taiga would be another possibility caused by global warming.

The Neolithic or First Agricultural Revolution had different impacts on the human population. The picture below is a representation of how there were many positive impacts on the human population in terms of specialization of labor. Individuals were able to settle down as houses were starting to get build and there were now permanent settlements. These were also known to have been the first cities. Individuals were able to focus on their specialized labor and everyone had a part in this new way of life.

The steam powered tractor was one of the innovations of the Third Agricultural Revolution. It allowed farmers to plant, manage, and harvest faster and more effectively. The machine also allowed farmers to multitask with different operations. I chose the steam powered tractor because it could also be considered an example of how the world of nations was becoming a global society because the tractor was an improvement of the mechanized farm implements.

Betulinic acid is found in a variety of trees like in Betula pubescens (shown below). The acid is used in ailments that treat inflammation, malaria, and cancer. I would consider betulinic acid as the most influential chemical derived from a plant because its used to treat a variety of conditions. In another sense, I find it to be the most versatile especially because it has anti-inflammatory properties.

The picture below is a representation of how the world can become cluttered if present day agricultural, economic, social, and political practices go unchecked. People would not care about the environment and that will lead to a polluted environment in each aspect. If there are no regulations put in place, people will not have a guide for sustainability causing the environment to slowly become cluttered and filthy. The representation below clearly shows how the environment could be affected if there are no sustainable practices in the aspects mentioned above.
