Phonics games can be summarized as the games that improve students pronounciation. This type of games usually require students to hear the word, and match a part of the pronounciation of that word with another word.

[PH] TeachMe More allows students to explore more on spelling, syllables, sounds, context in a sentence, definition and the part of speech.

[PH] Initial/Final Sound Speller (They are two different games) Students choose the missing initial/final sound that correctly spells each word.

[PH] WhichInitial/Final Sound Same game as above, but instead of sounds, students match pictures that fit the pronounciation.

[PH] SillyBulls requires students to list words in order according to the number of syllables in the word.

 

Tests can be summed up as, well, tests. There are two types of tests, one for spelling and one for vocabulary.

 

Teachsection is for teaching students new words. These activities give students words in context and creates fun activities for them.

 

There are 12 spelling activities. They range from games like Hangman to Who Wants to be a Millionaire type games. There are additional 5 games for vocabulary exercises.

 

All of these games do not require any set up, other than creating a word list. And you can easily assign assignments to students, and keep track of them.

You can create a new account or register with your social media accounts. After registering, you can start creating classes. Duolingo is widely known by language learners.It is closely related to ELT in terms of its wide usage by language learners. We can use it with our tech-lover students.It will encourage them to learn the new language and the most important side of Duolingo is that (to me) it gives students the comfort of making mistakes.Yes, this is very important.Because we learn anything by doing mistakes.But that doesn't mean to leave the mistakes as they are.Duolingo corrects all the mistakes which are made by the user.And remind the true samples in regular intervals.

Prezi is a great new way to make impressive and professional looking presentations. It is easy to use but it takes some time to really master it. It is way better and eye-catching than the good ‘ol power point. With prezi you can make a presentation and give the control to wievers , they can zoom in and out and drag it around. With prezi you can start with a small key detail and move all the way up to the bigger picture while describing , analysing and asking questions about the details and the topic. It is great for speaking activities and also for presenting an assignment.
