This lesson was a science lesson on magnets that incorporated the following developmental domains as well:
Language:
  • They had to listen to my directions and tell me what their magnet stuck to. 
Cognitive:
  •  They had to explain to me why they stuck their magnet on that item and what happened. 
Physical:
  • They had to use their fine motor skills to hold the small magnets and place them on magnetic surfaces. 
  • They had to use their gross motor skills to walk around and find items that the magnets would stick to. 
  • Some students used more gross motor skills as they climbed on the structures on the playground to find magnetic materials.

I made a math game that helps the students focus on working on addition. The students pick a card from the pile and whatever math problem is on the card is what the kids have to figure out. The cards also have counters on them that help the students to visualize the problem.
