He ended up moving and he had notified how well it was over there in comparison to the Philippines. Then my grandparents had decided to come over due to more opportunities and such, better futures for their children, etc. Have them eligible for naturalization, hence over time they did and was capable of bringing their children as well. Those being my Uncle and Mother. She came over due to more opportunities as well as to reunite with the rest of her family. With her also being a single mother, she needed more chances in terms of being successful and what she wanted for the future. Hence as to why she decided on getting that plane ticket on her way over to moving here.

With it being quite a difference in comparison to Belgium or the Philippines, the contrast between the previous locations was definitely huge. Language wasn't a issue but more or less the system here was. Wasn't a huge obstacle though. Another one of the main obstacles would be for my mother being single and having to study and do all of her tests again. Due to the fact that she studied in the Philippines, in order for her certifications, degrees and such to be valid she would have to take the tests again in order for it to be accepted. This considering the combination of timelines when my grandparents and mother came over here to the US, that being around 1990s - early 2000s (2006 when Mother came with me). Although there may have been a few events that occurred, they haven't really affected my family and I in any way.
