This is such an important conversation. It’s refreshing to hear the truth about sexuality in older adulthood. This is something that’s often misunderstood and joked about. Everyone deserves intimacy not matter how old they are.

Depression in older adults can look very different from what we expect. It’s not just about feeling sad. Depression can show up as memory issues, sleep problems, or even refusing essential services. Recognizing these signs is the first step toward getting help and support!

Treating people differently because of their age happens a lot, both in everyday life and in bigger systems like healthcare or workplaces. Studies show that this kind of unfair treatment can hurt older adults' health.

This cartoon pokes fun at how people joke about aging, but it also shows how ageism sneaks into everyday stuff. It’s meant to be funny, but it reflects a common mindset—that getting older is weird or surprising instead of normal and valuable.

This quote flips the idea of “too old” on its head. Instead of letting age hold you back, it encourages you to go for it—especially when doubt creeps in. It’s a reminder that age shouldn’t stop anyone from trying something new or exciting.

Saying “you look good for your age” might seem like a compliment, but it actually hits the wrong way. It kind of assumes that most people your age don’t look good, so you’re the rare exception, which isn’t really a compliment at all. It puts age in the spotlight like it’s a bad thing, instead of just saying you look great, period. It also feeds into this idea that getting older automatically means fading beauty or value, which just isn’t true. A better move? Drop the age part and just tell someone they look good, no conditions attached.
