If you compare a person's childhood scriptures to their current scriptures, you'll typically see that in the childhood scriptures EVERYTHING is highlight. Every page seems to glow neon yellow. As we grow, we learn that doing that is not very effective. So "adult" scriptures tend to have a few highlights or underlines on key points or words.

Rereading the text all over again helps us to comprehend the text better so that we are able to understand what the author was saying. I remember when I was junior in high school, my teacher put all of us into different book study groups once awhile to read and discuss what we read from the books that was given to us as our assignment. I really liked this ideal because I'm able to learn from the text as well from others - what their opinions about the book.
