         <description><![CDATA[<div>Domain #1<br>1c and 1f - Proficient<br>The teacher does a good job of having the students identify the art vocab words, apply these to students' own artwork and then identify across a handful of different paintings.  I don't see clear criteria for assessing students' work though so that's why I chose Proficient, not Excellent</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Domain #3<br>3a, 3b, 3c, 3d - Excellent<br>This teacher uses a variety of ways to assess students' understanding and gives students a variety of ways to show their understanding.  Teacher also asks students to relate their own personal conflicts to those of the characters in the story.  This lesson has a clearly defined structure and opportunities for students to engage with each other.  Peer and teacher feedback is utilized.</div>]]></description>

A student sees negative behavior from another student toward another student. The student responds by telling the student to be respectful of the other student. I am not sure if this was done loudly or privately so I chose proficient.   </title>

         <title> Purple Card 1               DOMAIN 3: Proficient            3A, 3C, 3D.                              The teacher communicated with the student the assignment and the goal. I am not sure if the assignment was written on the board so that students could reference the board if they were unclear about the expectations. Students were given the chance to share their responses through a fishbowl activity. Most students were able to demonstrate the conflict that Ponyboy had, but I think some students could not relate.  </title>
