First of all, it is important to give context to the situation and its effects that the world is experiencing due to climate change. Although it seems little, in reality this change affects the planet a lot and today we already have some effects of these increases in temperature, for example: the melting of glaciers at the poles, forest fires, among others. 

 

Second, hurricanes are stronger and more intense. It is dated that since 1980 the intensity, frequency and duration of hurricanes has been increasing and they are getting stronger. This has been evidenced in recent years, especially in the North Atlantic, with hurricanes of 4 and 5 degrees, something that was previously rare. Third, the rise in sea level. According to NASA, scientists predict that by the 2100s the sea level will rise from 1 to 4 feet, which would generate fewer habitable places on the planet and the loss of entire ecosystems.

 

In addition to the three points mentioned previously, there are many more that can testify that climate change is a reality and action is needed now. But, there are people with great power at the political and economic level who deny the existence of a problem that has been given warnings for years. Many of these say that an increase in a couple of degrees is nothing to be alarmed about, but as shown before these increases in temperature generate thaw, forest fires, droughts and many more effects.

 

Others also affirm that climate change is something general and that it is not the fault of the human being. This argument is a bit absurd and most who say it is because they have economic interests in an industry that generates many CO2 emissions, one of the most important causes of climate change, that is why the former president Donald Trump has publicly denied the existence of this problem. This person has a lot of power and clearly many millions invested in oil companies and in industries where their emission of gas is gigantic.

 

My solution is the implementation of nuclear energy, as we may seem in many studies, the industry that generates the most CO2 is energy, so it is important to change the way we generate energy and the most viable and efficient one that we can use now. The same is nuclear energy, since ideas such as the implementation of solar panels are viable on a small scale, but on a larger scale it remains absolute.

 

To conclude, it is important to always be well informed, do not believe in everything that politicians or the classic television and radio networks say about the current situation. Since it is well known that many of these informative networks are on the side of those with whom they have the power and this is a problem. It can be seen as the individual interest always prevails before the common, but if those people who have the facility to do something about it, do not do it, it is necessary that at least those who do believe in a solution, act for the welfare of the human being and the planet that has given us so much.
