Step 1 - Describe : I think my art-work looks like little mummy wraps overlapping each other. I don't have a subject nor a title the the piece, but the principles that I used in this artwork apparent, the principle that is being focused on the most is the contrasting green and orange, and i put most of the emphasis on the wrapping.

Step 2 - Creation : I created my art using a pencil (Mainly for shading) also Some crayons and markers. All I did was shaded the parts that were overlapping one another.

Step 3 - Big Idea : The thing that inspired me about this piece is the waviness of the of the ocean when you go to the beach, they are mesmerizing and downright amazing. The art work isn't anything deep really deep Nor am I trying to give an emotional meaning to this artwork.

Step 4 - Goals : My goals as and artist is to really pass this class, and yes this artwork did help me reach my goal of passing this class.

Step 5 - Thoughts : I learned how to do a zentangle for the first time. This artwork is pretty much how I imagined beside a little bit of shading errors. This future piece influenced me to do more entangles in future conversations.

I like the contrast of thick and thin lines on my art work. The different designs I did in the artwork makes it an eye catching piece. The contrast makes your eyes focus on the thicker lines but the thinner lies gives it the kind of background almost. My inspiration for this piece was my art teacher because her favorite animals are sea dragons. This piece of artwork is a realistic piece, I was never good at drawing realistic items so this was a good challenge. I am glad that my results turned out so good. if I were to do this again I would maybe add more deatail to the artwork, maybe also a background.

My artwork is a drawing of a fish' eyeball. I used in this artwork watercolor and crayons. I like how I blended colors to get certain blends. I outlined things with markers to make the colors pop. My inspiration is how beautiful it looked in the picture. My thoughts for the overall artwork is I think I did kind of good. if I were to change something I would make it so the colors blend into each other better instead of knowing where everything ends and begins. In the future I will make sure that I will spend more time on my artwork and not rush things.

This Art Work is of a Polar Bear from National Geographic Magazine, I chose a zentangle pattern: If you look at it I tried to keep the bear symmetrical and the bottom half, if you look at the right leg ( left side of the paper) it kind of looks like an Easter egg; My goal was to make it as realistic as possible before I filled it in with the best zentangle as I could draw, I got a lot of the designs from little booklets of zentangle designs, this is the best I've done so far, the tiny circles and little stars when drawing them my hand hurt but I think it was worth it.

This was made in 2D arts. It is a butterfly with zentangle designs in between parts. I added just a dash of color on the butterfly and the flower to contrast from the black and white. It has good spacing with a little bit of blank background for people to imagine and have some creative control on the work.
This work has a formal balance because it is almost symmetrical. The emphasis is the flower because it's color is the brightest thing on the piece and the butterfly interacts with it. I used color pencils, sharpie(provided by ms. Tribble), and pencils for my sketch lines. My goals were to draw a mysterious yet welcoming look on the butterfly. Overall, I am very happy with this artwork and it is the best I could have done.

i made this project in 2D art. i chose to use roses as my round drawing because i thought they were pretty. also, they seemed very simple to draw but when i started on the project as a bigger image, i found it quite challenging. the details were very fine and i had to have the

roses at a precise angle and place. i enjoyed the challenge making this piece of art. it looks like two roses next to two rose buds that are soon to sprout, with multiple thorns sticking our of the sticks connected to the roses.the subject matter is roses being born into the world. the title of my work is roses. the elements most obvious in my work are the colors, space, and the lines. the media i used the tools i used are water colors, sharpies, and crayon. the technique i used was to color with crayons first, then water color over the crayon because crayon is watercolor resistant, and then did finishing details with sharpies. tea cups inspired my art because when i was little my mom had china and on the china were two roses and it gave me a delicate vibe. i think thew emotions my art gives is life because its roses sprouting and they die soon but at the same time give life as seeds to the world. my goals as an artist are to just draw things that make people feels happy or will give them a reminder of their past good or bad. when i made this piece of art i learned that you can watercolor over crayon without effecting it. i also plan on using that technique in future art works of mine.

My artwork is a zentagled penguin. I think my artwork has a contrast of thick and thin lines, that make the art look some what realistic, I feel like my waves could be a little more realistic than what I had done to them. My penguin looks like its on a journey on its own and that's what makes the art so lovely in my opinion because he's just gracefully standing on a moving glacier. The contrast of black and white really goes great together.

Zentangle Stingray by Tanner

I like my work of art because of the elements and principles that I used in it. The contrast between the darker and thicker lines catch your eye, but the thinner and lighter lines create more of a background. The different designs I used for the zentagles make this piece unique. I used no color so the contrast between black and white would be the most contrast you could get. My inspiration for this was most people's fear of stingrays. In this work i tried to explain that stingrays are graceful and beautiful creatures that you should admire from a distance. I am very pleased on how this turned out because that fact that I freehanded the whole thing and I'm not that good at drawing. If I were to do this project again, I would probably add more detail or maybe a background

I chose to draw a space ship because I thought it would be a little challenging turns out I was right . but I liked drawing the space ship as I was drawing I noticed I was using some principles of design like rhythm , and variety of colors , shapes and other things . the background looks like it has a smooth texture .I created my art by using a pencil a black crayon , blue paint , white paper , and black paper for the background. I like how the colors look like they really go together. that about sums up my description of my artwork .

I like how each section blends in with the other sections like it is all one big piece of art and shares the same lines . if I had to do this art over again I would make my lines more straight that are suppose to be straight and I would put more space between my lines on my other ones that are not straight .

I like this work of art, simply because of its, well, simplicity. The artwork speaks for itself, one object could have one side that's completely opposite that the other side. The elements and principles of art i used in this work were lines, contrast, balance, and space. The space in this artwork along with the contrast, draws your eyes to the subject of the work, the diamond. My inspiration for this work was my brother, since he loves diamonds, of all things. If I were to do this work over again I would use more detail and leave less space.

I like how I used different parts of magazine in my art work. The man in the middle makes the art work stand out because he is so simple yet mysterious.

I used orange and blue colored pencils (complimentary colors) for the zentangle designs and a normal #2 pencil for shading. the balance is in formal because I wanted different designs with both colors. My goals for this were to add enough shade where it looks like it is overlapping, but not so much where it looks distorted and messy. I tried to show bright and exciting emotions, I think because I was in a particulary good mood that day. In conclusion, I think I could have done better with the shading by adding a little more, but it ended up being good.

The shape underneath the ears are a random design that I thought looked cool and made the art look like it had more detail. The triangles underneath the eyes were originally suppose to be tears but once i completed to art i decided to change the to tattoos. The four designs below the bunny mask are more designs I added to create more detail to the art. The elements or principles of art that i used are line, shape, balance, and contrast. I used pencils to draw the art, than i traced over it using shapes from black an white paper. I was inspired by a bunny mask that i found online that looked something you would see in Alice in Wonderland. I wanted to create something that looked creepy and scary but also looked really cool. I learned how to use contrast and turn it into art. I really like my artwork, but i don't like the way the design underneath the ears turned out, i think it could've been better.

I used a lot of designs to create this including leaf designs in the ears, a type of feather design on the chest along with lots of pretty and random line designs. I also used many curved lines in the main body of the fox and i made a dark line that fades to white around the outside of the fox. The elements or principles of art that I used are line, shape, space, balance, contrast, and pattern. i used pencil to draw the fox and then i traced over it with sharpie. I was inspired by a real fox picture and a zentangle fox picture that I found online. I wanted to create something that looked like it was a part of the forest and look liked it belonged in the forest. I learned how to use line and shape to create art. I'm really proud of how my artwork came out. I do think that i could've drawn my eyes differently to make it look better.

My goal was to become more creative and I reached that goal by using cool designs. I learned what media is while doing this piece of art. Also this piece is what I imagined because it looks nice.

Isabel K. Realistic Fox Zentangle

-----My artwork is a fox drawing with patterns to show it's muscle groups. The title of my art work is "Realistic Fox Zentangle" because its straight to the point, and I prefer simplicity over complexity. I used pattern, and lines for the fox's chest as well the tail(straight lines with a zigzag line if you can't see it). Also I used variety with the patterns, for example the back legs have zigzag lines while the front legs have wavy lines. The media that was used for the assignment was a realistic drawing. A fox inspired me for this artwork because they have basic muscle patterns that are easy to distinguish. I try to show an emotion of curiosity because foxes are quite mysterious which inspires curiosity. My goals as an artist is to improve my technique. Yes, this piece helped me reach my goals a bit because I don't really have that much experience illustrating realistic animals, and this gave me practice in drawing them. I learned how to proportion the head to the body. The final piece is different from what I first pictured how it would turn out. The head would be round, and the back legs would look more closely like the front legs. This will improve my future artworks by giving me practice with drawing a realistic figure, and making me more comfortable with using bases. I don't really like using bases because I didn't really feel like I needed to use them before.--------------------

-------------
My artwork is design that is mirrored on the other side of the paper. The title of this piece is "Mirror Image Symmetry" because it looks like a mirror reflecting the pattern on both sides. I used proportion when I cut out the triangles in this project. Also I used unity with the designs in the pyramid stacked triangles in the middle. I cut out /drew simple shapes, and organized them into partially complex design. I tried to show an emotion of belonging, and working together. Simple shapes organized into something complex inspired me. My goal as an artist is to make something complicated from simple things (like shapes). Yes, this artwork helped me reach my goals because I was able to make basic shapes into a sorta complicated design. I learned how make a complicated design from one the basics of art, shapes. The final piece is different from what I originally planned those three lines were added.

My wrapped jellyfish is my favorite piece of art work this semester. I spent a lot of time on elements like line, shape, space, and value. I was inspired to do the jellyfish because i noticed that no one else was doing the wrapped drawing and the jellyfish is basically a blob i thought i could best show its movement through shading. To complete this work i used a regular pencil, a charcoal pencil, and water color paints. If i were to recreate this drawing i would be more creative with the background but it still looks good.

I chose this image out of the magazine with the view finder because i thought it would be challenging to pull off. The stuff i used to draw and color this image is a regular pencil, crayons, and watercolor paints.
