The Father is trying to recreate the relationship that he languished and killed. And now he regrets what he has done. "We each put out an empty hand, Longing for something to forgive" states that they both felt mutual as they realized that their relationship was fading but they just didn't know how to. The lack of communication was contributed by the generation gap. They lived in an environment of a house rather than of a home. The son has started to observe and realize the people around him. The truth behind everything.

1) There is a generation gap between the father and the son which creates misunderstanding between them.

2) Because of the misunderstanding there was fade in relationship.

3) Both had different ego , they didnt have frequent con5versation..

4) The modernisation and westernisation was the reason the realationship was drifted apart.

5) The father didn't have any topic to talk tothe son neither did the son have any thing to say to the father

The father is sad about his son, the father says that he does not know anything about his child even though they have been living in the same house for years.

The father is now trying to build the same relation with the son that he had when he was younger, but the father does not know how because of the generation gap they have.

The father is not able to share the same interests with the son which really affects the relationship between the two.

Lack of conversation is another problem that can be seen in most families in today's world.

So many years they have been living in the same house, but mentally they are so far apart.

The father tried hard to build up the committed relationship with his son that he has lost, but it was all in vain.

So many years living in the same house yet they act like strangers with no understanding between them.

They look alike but they find it hard to love the same things.

However the father still tries to build a relationship with the child which he shared during the childs early years.
