         <description><![CDATA[<div>Once an individual has contracted EPV, it lives within their body forever. The symptoms will disappear after time, but the virus can be reactivated multiple times. In a small percentage of cases, an individual's spleen can become enlarged. This increases the risk of an organ rupture to occur. In addition, hepatitis (inflammation of the liver) is a long-term medical issue that could form. Anemia, Myocarditis, and nervous system issues are very rare long-term illnesses that result from mononucleosis.  </div>]]></description>
