Really, many claims of witchcraft were because something bad happened to the accuser. If something goes wrong - for example, all your crops die, your horse goes lame, or perhaps an extreme illness - and somebody (typically a woman) is angry with you, then they have obviously put a spell on your harvest as an act of revenge. They believed it was even more clear if, as "Discovery of Witchcraft" says, "The neighbor is an old woman who is lame, blear-eyed, pale, foul, and full of wrinkles." If she had a cat, it was even more likely that she was a witch, seeing as all witches have familiars. (Liza Picard.)

Prostitution wasn't exactly how we see it today. Many instances of so-called 'prostitution' were really just women who did not to stay within the purity constraint. All women were expected to remain pure and chaste before marriage. Virginity was critical in the man's decision of whom to make his bride. If she was not a virgin, she was seen as a 'used body.' (Wilson).

The metal strip would either be extremely sharp or covered in sharp spikes so that the movement of the tongue would cause extreme harm to the mouth ("Crime and Punishment").

If a woman was sentenced to death, she could choose to "plead her belly," claiming she was pregnant. There was a "committee of Matrons" that would check to see if the statement was false, however if they believed her, her execution could be stayed until she had given birth, because it would be wrong to kill the unborn child. If the woman was lucky, she could get lost in the system, but even if she couldn't, she would at least get a prolonged life. (Liza Picard)

If used for longer, limbs could be dislocated and eventually would be torn from their sockets, inducing excruciating pain.

The Scavenger's Daughter - a device that was designed to have the opposite effect than the rack. The body was compressed as opposed to being stretched. It compressed the body as to force the blood from the nose and ears.

The Collar -an instrument like a more focused iron maiden. Along with the many already listed rules, they were expected to obey male family members without question.
The reason women were treated as they were

In the bible, they say that Adam's rib was the basis for creating Eve, and since she ate the forbidden fruit, she was accountable for the banishment of man from Eden. Women were usually given the responsibility of original sin, and in medieval art the serpent who tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit would often be portrayed as a women. This story emphasized the theory that women were the lesser and more corruptible than men, making women more likely to persuade them to sin. The bible was the foundation of women's status in society. They used the teachings from the bible, particularly ones from the apostle Paul, to place women in their class. Readings like his stressed men's control over women, preventing them from teaching and even trying to keep their speaking to a minimum. On the other hand, the Virgin Mary was a stark opposition to these beliefs. Since she was Jesus's mother, she was viewed as how people of Christ might be saved. Mary was considered to be the "second Eve," because she was nearly the exact reverse of Eve. Mary was widely known as the most powerful of ALL saints, and since she was a virgin, she was a model of chastity and maternity. ("Women in medieval society")

According to Kyra Jane Wilson, “A woman’s worth and standing depended on her strict chastity. Women wore corsets of leather or wood which flattened the breasts. This made them less desirable because they did not have feminine features."
Preventative measures were taken to guarantee that men remained in control and women continued to be downtrodden as the lesser members of society. Since women that were unmarried were expected to remain virgins, when the case was otherwise they were punished, and usually publicly. She would be forced to walk naked down the streets, being jeered at and taunted. If she became pregnant, she would have to go away for any hope of retaining her good name. To steer clear of that, or perhaps as punishment of "pre-martial sexual intercourse" chastity belts were made. Chastity belts were, as stated in the above article, "Chasity belts wrapped around the waist and continued through the middle of the legs. Two holes were created at the entrance of each area used for sexual penetration, vaginal and anal, allowing for elimination. The holes would be surrounded by rough edges in order to deter a male counterpart in partaking in the action of sexual intercourse." The punishment of promiscuity was being forced to wear this. Because they were so smart, they would give the key to another MALE member of society. Removal of the device was only allowed if cleaning was necessary.
