They know what meat is included when they see the term "veggie burgers" and therefore, there is not much need to go to all the trouble of classifying vegan meat as a separate kind of meat when consumers can perfectly think for themselves. In the same way beef and pork are all just sub categories of meat, vegan meat can be classified into the larger category of "meat," too. 
 Vegan meat is also biologically processed in the lab and is validated by scientists as one method of producing meat. Lab grown meat is especially true in this case, as they are cultivated in labs with animal cells. Opponents of calling vegan meat as a meat argue that it cause confusion if we do so, but it is not true. In fact, it prevents confusion. If we do not use the word 'meat' and use other expressions to indicate 'vegan meat', for example, something tough, like-meat, salty, etc, it will confuse people. However the name of vegan meat can cause misunderstanding of consumers that they believe it is a real meat. It can be seen as ignorance of consumers' right.
Even there are some people who has sensitive reaction to certain ingredient. In this case, if they misunderstand vegan meat that it is a real meat, it is possible for them to have health problem like allergy and so on.
