• I’ve witnessed you to be a generous sister to your family by accommodating your ate and her kids at your condo on a regular basis.
• You’re an excellent yet humble employee; working hard and late into the nights and weekends and willingly leading a group of people who others might easily dismiss as traditional government employees. I recount the times when you felt challenged by the government culture, and the behavior of your colleagues. Yet you humbly submit yourself God so you can be salt and light in the senate, AND also be transformed into Christ-likeness in the process.
• You speak with godly wisdom. In our different one-on-ones and small group conversations, you’ve always spoken with godly wisdom. I remember when we had the GOT hangout at your place, and we talked about our non-negotiables for our future husbands—that comprehensive list you gave opened up new perspective to me when it comes to praying for my future husband. And you didn’t simply rattle off a wishlist, but it sounded like you were truly praying for God’s best, so you can serve the Lord with someone as well-rounded as you. It challenged me to be just as mindful about how much importance God puts in the marriage He wants me to have.
• You’re an economical household manager, making the tough call of moving out to a new place so you can save money, when you could have easily chosen the convenience of staying in your previous condo and all the perks that come along with it. While I was surprised that you made this decision, it makes 100% sense! You’ve always talked about how you wanted to strategically manage your finances so you can prepare for a secure future for your family.
• You’re the friend who goes the extra-mile, making sure we knew and experienced your love and care, especially during the pandemic. You would drive to our homes bringing gifts for our birthdays, or simply to say hello. You offered your home to me to me so we can celebrate Christmas together, and you opened it up for the rest of our GOT also so we can celebrate the new year together!
• You are a woman who loves and fears the Lord. During our GOT hangout at your place, you talked about how you wanted to get to the place of being so intimate with the Lord that you can clearly, specifically and prophetically discern what He wants to tell you. Like the Bible says, “Eagerly desire this gift,” and that, you do! But what’s most amazing to me is that you clearly eagerly desire the gift because you want to really be so in love with the Lord.
