As part of her duties at Ascension, Ms. Milavec treats stroke patients in the hospital and after their discharge. She also reports on policies and protocols to stakeholders and presents in-house education to pharmacists, nurses, and doctors. During her graduate education in nursing at the University of Michigan (UM) and Michigan State University, Ms. Milavec completed rotations in palliative medicine and surgical oncology. She has also treated patients at UM and interpreted test results for the UM Health System and St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Michigan. At the Ann Arbor VA hospital, she worked within a vascular surgery unit.
