Operation Torch,
Operation Torch was an American invasion of French North Africa during the Second World War. The French in the area were dominated by the Vichy French, they are aligned with Germany but aren't really friends. This battle was good for US and those aligned with us to send a warning to Nazi's and those aligned with them and we got in a good position to fight. 500 US soldiers died and 700 got injured. We did'nt really win the battle because this battle led to more battles that led to the end of the war witch we won.
