Whichever Punting tour you choose, our Punt chauffeurs will steer you along the banks of the famous Cambridge Backs, smoothly and safely. Taking a punt ride in the morning or evening is quite a lovely time to take a punt, when the river is less busy and the lighting is at it’s best. Morning time; especially from 9am to 11am, there are very few punts seen vying for space and fewer crowds too. This may help you view the famous Cambridge University colleges and bridges and soak in their history and splendour in calm tranquility.

We are happy for our customers to bring snacks and drinks, and there are various cafes, bars and restaurants available along our punts at Quayside, where you can dine before or after your trip!

Having enjoyed their punt ride, leaving a small tip as a token of appreciation is a common practice, and during the warm summer months, ‘tipping’ the Chauffeurs into the river has been known, but we shall leave that to your discretion.

A 45 minute shared punting tour in Cambridge costs about the same as a 15 minute taxi ride albeit with a richer experience, proving to be excellent value for money.
