Learning computer language is not hard to learn. BUT THERE IS 1 IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER:

If you write a sentence in English and misspell a word, I will still understand you. But if we make the SMALLEST MISTAKE writing to a computer, the computer will not understand. The computer will do nothing . . . or do something you did not want it to do.
This is maybe the HARDEST part of learning computer programing. You work and work and work and then try to run your program and it doesn't work! WHY? You look and look and then find SUCH A SMALL MISTAKE! So we must work very carefully.
So here are 5 coding rules:
1) THINK CAREFULLY.
2) BE EXACT.
3) NEVER HURRY.
4) GO STEP-BY-STEP TO SOLVE BIG PROBLEMS.
5) PERSIST LIKE A SQUIRREL! (see videos > .)

1) "Coding" is the language of the future. It is as important as knowing how to read.
2) Learning to code gives you a new way to think. Coding will help you think more clearly.
3) Learning to code helps you learn to solve (to find answers to) life problems:
• When you code, everything you do is taking steps to get to a solution. You just need to take one step at a time to solve ANY problem, even a big problem.
• When you code, you turn BIG problems into many small parts you can understand.

You know that there is no such thing as Spider-Man. The Spider-Man costume is really amazing but behind the costume is just an ordinary man. The "special effects" movies can do with computers makes it look like he can fly, climb buildings, and save the world. But you know he's an actor.

* Websites are also "costume". So rule #1 is: You have to look behind the costume (or LOOKS of a website) and see what is really there.
Now go to the Co2 Science website.
http://www.co2science.org/index.php
What do you see there?
• Are there good things?
• Are there not-so-good things?
• Remember: Even a site that is not telling the truth will have some good things on it.
• ASK YOURSELF:
Who's behind the costume? (This is really, REALLY important.) Who is really giving the information?
But wait! You don't have to decide alone if the site is telling you the truth.

GRAPHS (funny examples)

1) Who's behind the data?
2) Is it relevant?
3) Is the data presented accurately? Charts and infographics can often distort and misrepresent legitimate data. Infographics frequently use convincing images that distract viewers from the data or misrepresent it. Charts can also be manipulated to distort data. One of the most common strategies is to deceive viewers by altering the scales of charts. For example, expanding the scale of a chart can give the illusion that a phenomenon is much smaller or less important than it is. Conversely, restricting the range of a scale can make a change or effect appear much larger than it is in reality.
