I ask learners to write down what they want to IMPROVE on at the end of each task (in the work-packs) before I write my tutor feedback. This could be related to the task they have just finished or something linked to their personal targets

I re-cap on the tasks covered and explain I want students to reflect on what they have achieved/produced/developed as a person and take time to explain what, why and how they wish to improve. I also explain that in their chosen career they should have annual appraisals and are most likely to be asked the same questions then, so this is a great way to develop those skills.

I do similar to Coral with the tutor feedback but also give them a daily challenge to improve their mock test scores throughout so they hopefully see an upward curve which should help their confidence.

In the past, I have always asked learners at the start of class, to state something they would like to improve on. By then, they would know what's coming up in the lesson (through "know do show") - so they might pick up on something they definitely want to improve on (e.g. like their CV). I would also encourage them to state something personal they'd like to improve on - for example - if they knew that group work was coming up in the lesson, they might take the opportunity to lead a task to improve their confidence, communication, or leadership skills. At the end of class, they would re-evaluate, and hopefully see that they have improved! :)
