The children listened to the dance programme and music to create 3 parts of their dance - being followed by the creature; being captured by the alien; turning into a robot and being controlled.

The class had to learn the dance in three parts, including samba steps, flag waving, party congas and shoulder shimmies! They worked well as individuals, in pairs and groups.

Over the Spring term the children will be rotating in their groups between 5 different sports: Netball, Hockey, Shonk, Handball and Golf.

The children have learnt to orientate maps and were using that to play a Netball Orienteering game finding the correct cones to make a total for 6 different maps.

After they had to plan a map for another pair and see if they could get the right total.

The class had chance to compete in the mountain biking event and post a fastest lap, ready for the Stroud biking competition! Some enjoyed a chance to practise their riding skills and get more confident! A great afternoon.

In their first lesson of summer term, Year 4 spent time developing their throwing and catching with a range of equipment. They thought carefully about how they could adapt each task they were given to make it easier or harder for themselves and their partner.

This term, lessons have focused on a range of fielding skills as well as striking a ball in different ways. Our final lesson involved applying the skills we learnt and thinking about tactics in a team striking & fielding game.
