A way I keep positive in rough times such as this is to look for nature. There's something calming about a breath of fresh air that helps keep my head up. So for this piece I drew a scene in nature with a cliff looking at a mountain and a rainbow. The mountain and the clouds symbolize the hardships and gloom we all might be feeling. The rainbow shines over it all with the sun peeking over a cloud as a sign of something positive in dark times. I plan to practice my watercolor techniques so next time I can make a piece I'm much prouder of. However, I am proud of the way the landscaping turned out. Backgrounds of any form have been an issue for me and I'm glad with how this one turned out. Social distancing has helped me clear my head and focus on what makes me happy, which paid large influence on my choice for this piece. I hope that someone can look at this piece and understand the positive intention.
