Today, people visit Kham Chanod to pay respect, make wishes, and seek blessings—especially for luck and fortune—from the powerful naga spirits.

The Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, was built around 2580–2560 BCE during Egypt’s Fourth Dynasty. It served as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu and is the largest of the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau near Cairo.

Originally standing at 146.6 meters, it was built with about 2.3 million limestone blocks. The construction method remains uncertain, but it shows the advanced engineering of ancient Egypt.

In the tale of Princess Kaguya, she returns to the Moon and leaves an elixir of immortality. The emperor burns it on Mount Fuji, and it’s said the smoke still rises from the mountain today.

The legend of Hat Nang Ngao tells the story of love and separation between Nang Jiang Dai, the daughter of the ruler of Chi Chuan, and Thao Inthasakes, the ruler of Khukhan. The tale begins when Thao Inthasakes hears of Nang Jiang Dai’s beauty and decides to lead his army to ask for her hand in marriage. However, he learns that she is already engaged to Thao Kalahong.

Determined, Thao Inthasakes abducts Nang Jiang Dai and makes her his wife. They eventually have a son together. However, the child is born with a deformed appearance, which leads Thao Inthasakes to wrongly suspect that the child is not his, but rather the son of Nang Jiang Dai and her former fiancé. In his anger, he orders the child to be cast adrift on the river.

Devastated, Nang Jiang Dai weeps endlessly by the riverbank. Her sorrow becomes so deeply associated with the place that it comes to be known as “Hat Nang Ngao,” meaning “The Beach of the Lonely Lady.”

El Dorado is a legendary city of immense wealth that has been sought after since the 16th century. Believed to be a city overflowing with gold and countless treasures, it has lured power-hungry individuals to search for it, only for them to perish during their journeys. To this day, no one has ever found the city. However, it is speculated that this city was once located around Lake Guatavita, an emerald-colored lake surrounded by forests and mountains in Colombia.

The Great Sphinx of Giza is one of the most iconic monuments in the world. It is located on the Giza Plateau near Cairo, Egypt, next to the Great Pyramids. The Sphinx is a massive limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a human, believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre.

The statue was carved around 2500 BCE during the reign of Khafre, who ruled during the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The purpose of the Sphinx is still debated, but many scholars believe it was built to guard the pyramid complex and symbolize royal power and protection.

In the Rattanakosin era, during the reign of King Rama V, administrative reforms reorganized the provincial structure of Thailand. Sisaket was officially established as a province under Thai central administration.

Finn’s wife disguised him as a baby. When Benandonner arrived and saw the “baby” was huge, he thought the father must be a monster.

Terrified, Benandonner ran back to Scotland and destroyed part of the path behind him.

That’s why the Giant’s Causeway looks broken today.

Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece, located in the northern part of the country near the Aegean Sea. Its peak rises about 2,918 meters above sea level and is often shrouded in mist, giving it a mystical and majestic appearance. In ancient Greek mythology, this mountain was believed to be the sacred home of the Twelve Olympian gods, the most powerful deities in Greek belief.

At the very top of Mount Olympus, above the clouds and untouched by storms, the gods were said to dwell in a magnificent golden palace. They ruled over the world of humans and nature from this heavenly realm. These twelve gods each had unique powers, personalities, and responsibilities:

After Mumtaz Mahal gave birth to his 14th heir, she died of a hemorrhage, deeply distressing Shah Mahal. Shah Mahal then built the Taj Mahal as a monument to their love.

Shah Mahal was later imprisoned in the Agra Fort by his son, Aurangzeb, who saw his father's enormous wealth on the construction of Mumtaz Mahal's mausoleum. He seized the throne and imprisoned his father, proclaiming himself king.

Shah Mahal remained imprisoned for eight years until his death. Every day, he gazed at the Taj Mahal through the bars until his death. The legend of the Taj Mahal's construction is a tragic one, and it has been revered as a monument of love and sorrow ever since.

The Taj Mahal, located on the banks of the Yamuna River, took 22 years to build, requiring human labor to transport and cut the stones, as well as hundreds of thousands of skilled artisans to decorate the building. Stones used included Jaipur, laterite from Fatehpur Rikhri, aquamarine from Tibet, garnet from Egypt, aquamarine from Kampai, agate from Kampai, diamonds from Funna, copper from Russia, and sandstone from Baghdad.

Vlad the Impaler was a 15th-century prince known for cruel punishments. His nickname “Dracula” means “son of the dragon.”

The vampire Count Dracula was created by Bram Stoker in 1897. He combined Vlad’s name with fiction to create the famous blood-drinking vampire.

Today, Bran Castle is a top tourist spot called Dracula’s Castle.

The History of the Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is one of the most famous landmarks in the world. It was built over 2,000 years ago to protect China from enemy invasions. The earliest walls were constructed during the 7th century BC by different states.

Later, during the Qin Dynasty (221–206 BC), Emperor Qin Shi Huang connected these walls to form a unified defense system. Most of the existing wall that we see today was rebuilt and expanded during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644 AD). This version of the wall stretches over 21,000 kilometers.

The Great Wall is made of stone, bricks, wood, and earth. It includes watchtowers, fortresses, and passes. It also served as a way to control trade along the Silk Road and to prevent smuggling.

Today, the Great Wall is a symbol of Chinese strength and history. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular tourist attraction

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a hypothetical area in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean. It is alleged that a number of aircraft and surface vessels have mysteriously disappeared in this region without explanation. Popular culture has attributed these disappearances to supernatural phenomena or alien bases.

However, recorded evidence indicates that most of the reported incidents involving missing aircraft and ships were either inaccurately documented or exaggerated by later writers. High above the banks of the Mekong River in eastern Thailand lies a majestic cliff called Pha Taem. Today, it is famous for its ancient cliff paintings, but behind these faded red images lies a mystical legend passed down for generations.

📜 The Local Legend

Long ago, it is said that celestial beings and deities descended from the heavens to this very cliff. Every morning, as the sun rose over the Mekong River, these divine spirits would perform a sacred ritual to honor the Sun God.

To mark their devotion, they painted symbols on the cliff face—using red, white, and purplish pigments derived from natural minerals. These sacred markings became known as the "taem," which means to paint or to mark in the local dialect.

Thus, the cliff was named Pha Taem, or "The Cliff of Paintings."

But the tale turns tragic. In some versions, Yai Yoe fell in love with a man who later betrayed her. Heartbroken but determined, she continued building the temple until her last breath. It is said that her spirit remains in the area, watching over the castles with unwavering loyalty.

The Vestal Virgins were highly respected and held great power in Roman society. They performed sacred rituals and protected the flame, ensuring Rome’s safety and prosperity. The Temple of Vesta, with its circular shape symbolizing the eternal cycle of life, stood as a reminder of the city’s spiritual he

Notre-Dame Cathedral, located in the heart of Paris, is one of the most famous Gothic churches in the world.

But beyond its beautiful architecture and long history, Notre-Dame is surrounded by many mysterious legends.

One of the most famous legends is that the cathedral is protected by unseen spirits and angels.

It is said that during the French Revolution, when many churches were being destroyed, Notre-Dame remained standing—thanks to a powerful spirit watching over it.

Another popular tale speaks of the great bells in the towers.

Mount Shasta in Northern California is renowned for its mysteries, including legends of a hidden city called Telos beneath the mountain, inhabited by the Lemurians, survivors of the mythical lost continent of Lemuria. Other mysteries include UFO sightings, Bigfoot encounters, and stories of interdimensional beings and Ascended Masters.

Long ago, there was a blind old man known to the villagers as "Ta Khwai" (which means "Grandpa Buffalo"). He lived alone in a small hut and owned only a few buffaloes, which he cared for dearly. Despite his blindness, he was wise and kind-hearted, though very poor and without any family.

One day, a group of people began building a large stone sanctuary (prasat) near the village. However, strange things kept happening. Construction was constantly delayed due to mysterious forces—some believed it was spirits or supernatural events. Workers became scared and fled, and progress came to a halt.

The local ruler, desperate to complete the sanctuary, announced a reward for anyone who could solve the problem and help finish the construction. Hearing this, Ta Khwai, despite being blind, offered his help. The villagers laughed at first, but the ruler gave him a chance.

Through wisdom and deep understanding of the land (or in some versions, with the help of sacred spirits), Ta Khwai gave advice that allowed the builders to complete the construction without further disturbance.

In honor of his unexpected help and contribution, the sanctuary was named “Prasat Ta Khwai”, meaning "the sanctuary of Grandpa

Buffalo."

On top of the mountain is also the White Tiger Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to the legendary white tiger, complete with statues and information about its history, as well as the famous Xuankong Temple , also known as the "Mountain Temple in the Sky," a marvel of Chinese architecture built along a steep cliff face.

Chalawan was a powerful giant crocodile that lived in a cave beneath Bueng Si Fai in Phichit. He possessed magical powers and could transform into a human. Chalawan often emerged from the water to capture people, sometimes taking women to be his wives.

One day, Chalawan abducted Wan Thong, the daughter of the ruler of Phichit, and took her to his cave. The ruler then announced a call for heroes to rescue his daughter.

Krai Thong, a man with magical knowledge capable of defeating crocodiles, volunteered to fight Chalawan. He journeyed to the cave, where a fierce battle took place. In the end, Krai Thong triumphed over Chalawan and successfully rescued Wan Thong.
