Summary:
Article addressed the issues in poverty among families. Even when they are working good hours money never is enough after bill are taken care of. Going to food banks in order to get some food for the week can be embarrassing for some families as they believe they are being horrible parents because they can not afford food for their kids.

Comparison:
This brings it back to previous article of Mr. Puzder, he does not believe much on increase of pay for labor workers or what he view as low-skill workers. People need a raise in order to keep up with the amount of increase of food. People can not feed a family living in low wage jobs. Wages need to be increased.

Summary:
The article, referred to the trade ideas that new president-elect Trump has in stored for the US and other countries. Trump wants to raise the tariff for countries like China and Mexico. His whole thing with stopping TPP is because it hurts American jobs and industry.

Comparison:
The comparison that this has to the lectures is when we talked about the trades, is that Trump wants something such a cultural change. Trump wants to have it his way when it comes to trading, he thinks that TPP affects the jobs of the American people. Its not a good change they are just ridiculous ideas that will affect everyone in the trading business.

Summary:
The article talked about Dadaab closing their refugee camps and sending people back home. These people are receiving about $200 per family member so they can have shelter and food. Money is going by fast and they are running out of money.

Comparison:
This relates to the discussions we had in class about the advantages of developed countries to undeveloped countries. We as a developed countries have an advantages on getting resources, while other countries struggle to get any goods into their countries. We are free to do whatever we want yet other people get their freedom taken away and they can not do anything about but just deal with it.

Summary:
Trump finding ways to keep jobs put in America, his goal is to keep companies from going to Mexico or overseas. By companies heading elsewhere, that would mean many Americans becoming unemployed. He has gotten Carrier a company that makes heating and air condition parts to stay and keep nearly 2,,000 jobs. Trump is also trying to take credit for Ford staying put, which many believe that the company was not going anywhere

Comparison:
Reasons why this was thinking of going else were was because of the tax and cheap labor plus any other reasons. This relates when we talked about why companies go transnational, and the answer is because the tax rate they would have to pay here is a bigger amount and the labor is cheaper. The more they can save the better that is something Trump was able to do for them.

The article addressed the Trump offering the to Mr. Puzder for secretary of labor. Mr. Puzder is the chief executive Hardee's and Carl's Jr. He is very critical of increasing the minimum wage to fast food workers and any other low-skill jobs.

Comparison:
It compares when we discussed wages, how many companies make a huge amount of profit yet they do not believe in increasing the pa of workers. T

Summary:
This article focuses on the Syrian people capturing and bombing civilians. Yet they helped 1,500 people flee the government, 119 of them being children.
Comparison:
This might be not a way to describe it but this sort of reminds me of the genocide that happened years back, people dying and getting bombed. Innocent lives are being taken, specially those of children.

Summary:

Article is about the trades going on in the US. The company that designs reclining chairs for movie theatres does not like the idea of Trumps tariffs towards countries such as China. This particular company that has been established here In the US, and receives trade goods to build the chairs will be affected because it receives their materials from around the world in order to make the chairs. By Trump increasing tariffs it affects the deals that particular companies have with other countries as it may delay production and possibly cost job loss and business already arranged.

Comparison:

Article compares to discussions that we have had in class in the way trade is established as well as job security for American people. Like the article says that if tariffs are increased between certain companies it will interfere with deals that are already intact. Trump wants to keep jobs in the US providing labor to the American people but at the same time he is standing in the way of these jobs. By increasing the tariffs to trades countries it stops production and will affect many people’s jobs. It forcing companies to be shipped out overseas.

Summary:
Even though the deal between the US and Carrier company came to a close to keep 2,000 in the US it took a lot. Trump kept no secret about it and said that he will not hesitate to increase tariffs to those companies that take their business overseas. The increase of tariffs would be detrimental to the companies.
Comparison:
Even with the 2,000 jobs staying in the US, the country is still in trouble. just like with the labor laws that were talked about in class its wrong to threaten a company for trying to go elsewhere. The tax that he is trying to charge the companies with are ridiculous and unfair. I understand that people need jobs but charging companies a large amount is not the answer. They will try and go elsewhere if things start getting complicated.

Summary:
Article talked about the unemployment rate dropping to 4.6% from 4.9%. Even when it not a really big amount it is still progress that has been noted. When recession hit in 2007, it affected a lot of Americans in the labor force. Progress is on the rise for unemployment.

Comparison:
Job opportunity is great, this relates to the creating jobs. The way we talked about trade is the same way with job opportunities. The better the trade market can be for some areas the better and more jobs it will open for a lot of Americans. As the trade market continues to develop into something great better jobs will come.

Comparison:
This is an update to an earlier article that I compared to the genocide. Although nothing can compare to the genocide, it is still a horrible thing what is happening in Aleppo. Many men became missing after they were let go. Middle aged men and older men are missing from Aleppo.
