Physical fences serve to block, contain, protect, exclude, etc. However, imaginary fences are different. Individuals set up those barriers and their purpose can be positive as well as negative. They shape people's perspectives as well as their comfortability, hindering the progress of inclusion and diversity. People often set imaginary barriers which often prevents them from speaking with others, simply due to the fact that they believe, the other individual is uninterested or annoyed. negative assumptions on other which are made in seconds may take years to clear.
