A person becomes a Muslim when he or she utters the statement of testimony in the presence of witness: “I bear witness that there is no deity but God and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger and servant of God”. It opens a channel to God through the spiritual leadership of Muhammad. By acknowledging the last link in the chain of prophet hood, a Muslim is also acknowledging all previous prophets and honours their sacred ways.
