In the case of my students they are 1st and 2nd graders learning english.
When they were distance learning it was very complicated to incorporate different platforms and methods since:
1- most of the students didn't have a computer;
2- some didn't have a stable internet connection;
3- their technological skills were still very basic.
They were, however, very interested in participating actively in the lessons and the grand majority had amazing support sistems at home (most parents wanted to be an active part of the activities as well).
I think that, in my case, if I had more time to explore with them they would have adapted easily but, since my class was only 1 hour, there wasn't enought time.

They are good using of many digital tools, but they are very young and it's hard for some of them to work concepts, synthesis and analysis.
Using digital tool most of the time is an excuse to reflect about the subject topics.

Most of my students have the skills to attend distance learings, but some of them lack the necessay infrastucture for connecting. They usually use mobile phones, which makes it difficult to have an appropriate environment and often the connection is bad.

The profile of my students is a little different from each other. At the moment I teach adults, and their ages are very different. Their biggest difficulties are in managing their studies, work and family. Our classes take place after working hours, which is not always easy after a day's work. They are interested students, but they do not always have adequate computer knowledge for this new reality of distance learning. It has been an enriching experience, but I think a greater diversity of materials and strategies is needed.

Based on surveys made at school after the first impact of the pandemic and the closing down of schools, I know most of them are highly skilled in the use of technology and most of them have access to technological devices. I teach English in a primary school. Kids are really open-minded as far as the use of technology is concerned. They are even more interested in learning using digital platforms and tools. 99% of our students have devices and Internet access and they learn how to use them. After attending an Erasmus+ course abour technologies in the classroom, I had done my best to incorporate them in my classroom even before the pandemic happened so now I would say that almost all of then will be good at BL.

Although they are highly skilled in technology and use of the Internet, they usually do not have access to laptops and reliable Internet connections. My students are nine years old and before the pandemic, only a few students owned a PC or tablet, which they used to play games.
Later, with the help of us teachers and their parents, some children quickly learned the basic functions of blended learning.
However, there are still students who, having no access to distance learning, are inexperienced.
The reasons are varied: unstable connections, they do not have the necessary devices, they do not have adequate support from parents.

My students vary from 15 to 19 age. They are gymnasium students.
Their ICT skills are quite good; however, the diversity of ICT tools all teachers use - makes them a bit confused.
In Lithuania all the students, who have no computers, have been equipped with tablets. The internet connection sometimes causes incoveniences. Another misunderstanding, when students connect via telephone and cannot easily connect different learning platforms, join break-out rooms easily.
Support is organized on behalf of the gymnasium madminstrations, IT specialists, all the teachers and parents. We are doing our best to facilitate the learning process.
It could be mentioned that students who used to learn very well at school are doing very well in the online learning too.
As I teach English, I could say that the learing process has become in some case easier - for example different tasks in Padlet, liveworkheets, quizziz - very fast feedback.
Having considered the above issues, BL will be our goal and the clue to success in education.

My students vary from 11 to 16 years of age. Not all of my learners are tech savvy, some need real care and continuous aid to manage to upload any work, or share material.

There is also a very small number of students who don't have an internet service, or it is too low for a good streaming session.

Some students have a very noisy background (being other siblings or loud parents) which then create an awkward situation for my student.

However, the majority of my learners cope well.

(My) students today are very connected with new technologies. However, his interest and skills in dealing with IT are very much focused on social networks and gaming. As I teach in a rural setting with a modest economic level, not all of my students have a computer at home and access to the internet in some places is poor. At the moment the Portuguese eucation authorities are supplying computers to the most needy students and this problem can be minimized.
But even so, like all associated problems, I think my students are prepared to take the step towards BL.

My students (12-15 years old) are skilled in technology and using the internet. As of this school year, everyone has received tablets from the Ministry of Education for use in teaching. We are very happy to use combined forms of teaching, but I think we can make it even better. My students are 4-6 years old, all in the same class of a kindergarten. At this age autonomy is not fully developed and the use of technology is at a basic level. I think that in this situation there is three big challenges:
1. Some adults are not comfortable with technologies;
2. Lack of technology

I teach students (16-18 years old) with special needs in an inclusive secondary school ). I have three students with different profile (ASD, learning difficulties, and hard of hearing).

My students are already familiar in using technology to support their learning since they were in elementary. However, before the pandemic the use of assistive technology was monitored and supervised by the teachers.

Most of my students are ready for a blended learning approach. They already have a good self-regulation skills. They know when they can have fun with their laptop and when they need to focus on learning.

It has been a year since they do online learning from home. If they can survive online learning, I believe they are more than ready for blended learning.

I teach low-intermediate, intermediate, and vocational students in a big suburban area. They all have some IT knowledge and some vocational students are quite tech-savvy, but mostly gaming and social media (as mentioned by others).

Computers, cameras and hotspots are being provided for students who lack equipment or internet connection, so this problem can be minimized. But this is only a temporary solution due to the emergency remote teaching. After the pandemic crisis, the digital gap will remain, most certainly aggravated by the incoming economic and social crisis, with high rates of unemployment!

Since my classes come from different social backgrounds and literacy levels, I anticipate some problems implementing BL successfully.

I teach students who are 8, 10, 11 and 15 to 19. Each group has its own particularities. I had students who would have their homework done by their parents during online schooling, or parents who whispered answers from the back of a computer. with the older students there were other problems. sometimes they did not have electricity or there was a bad internet connection. They knew how to use technology but as the time passed they became more bored of it.

I teach English as a Foreign Language to 15-18 year olds at a comprehensive high school in Athens. The greatest challenge for me has always been to differentiate my materials and activities in order to address all the different competence levels, learning styles and tempos in my classes. I teach English to junior high school students. Most of them have basic digital skills but I try to design lessons that promote, along with the English language skills, their digital litiracy.
There are very few cases that students don't have access to internet and they use data. For those cases, I try to make my teaching material available on the Greek Ministry of Education teaching platforms that give free access to students.

Digital competences depend on theri maturity, on their age.

I teach in a secondary school, my students' age range is 13/19. The majority has access to technology and they are mostly familiar with some platforms / programmes. The greatest challenge is to manage time and content in order to reach the same level of preparation we normally have. The goal is to make blended learning a usual practice and not a temporary emergency solution. I really believe in the advantages that technological based teaching can have, of course with an intelligent mix of motivation and stimuli for the students, who must understand that this is the future of school. Sometimes students get bored or they don't feel engaged in the learning process, and this is, as far as I'm concerned, the biggest problem I really need to solve ASAP.

My students are final year secondary school students (ages 17-19 for the most part), they come from a middle/high socio-economic background for the most part. For those who have more difficulties in this area, it was possible to provide computer equipment and internet connection. In general, the family environment is favourable to distance working. Obviously I will have to pay attention to some students who present more difficulties in autonomous work and I will have to develop specific follow-up actions for them.

I teach in a k12 school. My students are used to doing activities with Google Workspace for Education apps and various other web apps, some specific to my subject (Music). The families they come from are very diverse, which creates a digital divide that I have to take into account: I can't expect all pupils to have computers and, although the school has temporarily provided families with a laptop, the students' autonomy in its use is very limited. Most of my students come from working class families. The extraordinary thing is that although almost all have PCs or laptops at home, they have basically used them to log on social media platforms and play games! So, what I have found out these past five months that lessons are online, is that it will take time before my students and their parents understand what blended learning is about. When schools opened for two weeks in February I tried to keep my students working on a kind of blended learning context but only two or three out of twenty kept it up.

Even though I do not teach in a primary school yet, but instead I am tutoring (private lessons at home) students with or without special needs, it seems so far from my experience that for an efficient school performance using the blended learning approach, family engagement is crucial. The teacher must, at first, estimate how ready and willing are the parents to assist with the establishment of a proper distance environment at home. The key to achieving effective circumstances for the learning process to take place is fundamental communication with the parents. Considering that blended learning is not a synonym for distance learning but includes enriching approaches for in-class teaching practices too, I think that, although my students are not quite ready for blended learning, they could be introduced to BL and be trained.

There were some problems with use of technology:

Chances of distraction high: With no faculty around for face-to-face interaction and no classmates who can help with constant reminders about pending assignments, the chances of getting distracted and losing track of deadlines are high. You need to keep yourself motivated and focused if you want to successfully complete your distance learning course. Distance education is not a good idea if you tend to procrastinate and can't stick to deadlines.

2. Complicated technology: Overdependence on technology can be a major drawback in distance learning mode of education, especially when the learning takes place in an online environment. Any malfunctioning software or hardware can bring an ongoing class to a standstill and interrupt the learning process. Similarly, if a student is not computer and tech savvy, his learning experience can be dissatisfactory.

3. Quality of faculty compromised: Often considered to be the lesser cousin of regular education, distance education is often plagued by lack of enough good quality faculty members. In other cases, even if the instructor is good, he or she may not be comfortable with teaching in an online environment. Sometimes the technology might not do full justice to the delivery and design of the course. A student loses out in all these scenarios. Distance education providers should realise that it is not the technology, but good and effective teachers that teach students.

4. Questionable credibility of degrees: Even though distance and online education is starting to get recognition, there are still a lot of fraudulent and non-accredited degrees being offered. With the increase in the number of distance/online programs, the number of scam operators are also rising. This affects the credibility of recognised distance learning degrees among prospective employers.

Several problems plague my students.
As far as the youngest are concerned (11-12 years old), they are definitely not tech-savvy. Neither are their parents by the way. They are not that ready for independent learning as they hand in their tasks with poor quality. They have trouble following instructions, although these are shared orally and in writing. As far as my oldest students are concerned, some of them still show a lack of maturity to a certain extent, handing in some tasks incomplete or with poor quality.
Many of my students have an unreliable internet connection at home, while others (just a few) don't have access to a computer.
Implementing a blended learning process will be a challenge that will take a few years. Students need to be oriented to develop their technological skills for work and not only for play, and schools/ministry of education will have to invest in a better internet connection at school and make sure that students/teachers have one at home too.

I teach in a school situated in the rural areas and for me blended learning would be a challenge especially on a part of online learning. Firstly, most of my students are from average or even low income families and they cannot afford digital tools (smartphones, laptops, tablets etc) therefore, it would not be easy to request them to avail themselves online for a zoom meeting or to ask them to download a certain learning application. I think that BL is the perfect solution, as it combines benefits from both DL and in-school learning. To be more concrete, there is the interaction with the children, but in the same time there is the possibility to take advantage of all the technological tools and make learning much more interesting and exciting, and furthermore develop students' autonomy. BL has given my students a real hard time during the pandemic. The region where they live is a low income neighbourhood. Some of them have no internet connection at home. Most of them have no personal computer nor a tablet. They have to attend the learning procedure through mobile phone. Everything becomes twice difficult.
My students have emotional support by their families but no support at all as far as learning is concerned. However, they are tough fighters!

Although I have been trying to incorporate digital literacy skills in my lessons, not all of my students are particularly familiar with modern technology. Beyond that, the majority of them do not possess the appropriate equipment (laptops, desktops, tablets) and some do not even have access to the internet! Moreover, even after all this long period of distance learning due to the pandemic, I could't say that my learners (12 - 15 years of age) have become independent and autonomous (they need direct supervision to do things and guidance at their next step). They can be easily demotivated and distracted, as they have the sense that their performance is not monitored.

Plus most of tham don't have the right equipment starting from the device they work with that is often their smartphone. Some don't even have access to internet. My students generally have technology available to them; however, they do not see technology as a learning tool yet - they are seeing it more and more that way becasue of the current context, but they still have a long way to go and we have to teach them. I am often surprised at how little they can successfully interact with basic technology, like word files, because they do not have the need, or they did not have the need until now. Often times, I see students use the technology as a reason for NOT doing work (bad connection etc). It is a long road, and I think that my students are, comparitavely, in a good place.

I teach in class 5 at primary school. my students have become very confident with technologies; the experience of last year taught them a lot and during the period we were in school this year we tried to dive deep in their approach . some of them are very creative, other use in a simple way but anyway all of them are very curious and well disposed to use computer and they pass from one platform to another with confidence. I'm a bit worried for next year as I will be working with small children of class 1 who are not so easy to follow in blended learning.

My students, being of a higher level, adapt very well to any type of situation. I can easily combine face-to-face and distance classes. I often practice flipped classrooms, sending support material in a timely manner, with the class being the time for interaction, discussion and resolution of issues. My students are high school students so they can adapt the environment easily.They are into technology so they like lessons covering interaction.But still, some of them don't have computers ,they connect with their phones so it is a little problemetic when I am using other tools to enrich my classes.Since they cannot open a new tab on their phone, they cannot participate.Therefore ,using different web2.0 tools in online classes may not be possible due to lack of technical equipment or poor internet connection.our students don't use cams during the lesson so it is not easy to say they understand everything we are trying to teach.

I teach a VET course (16-18 year old students). Some of them lack some maturity and responsibility. Their technological skills are more associated with gaming and social media than with learning. Some are very independent, collaborative, organised, and do their work on time and with some quality while others are unable to organise themselves and see independent learning as “homework”, which is something they really hate to do. All of them have access to their own computer or to one provided by the school. Some complain about their Internet connection as it varies according to the areas they live in. I totally agree that the students need to understand the blended learning process and its advantages. They need support during the process and regular feedback or they will get lost.

I don't teach any longer myself but for the moment I am preparing a task for kindergarten and primary school. A part of the task will be done at home, with the parents. They will look at a five minutes video sequence (can be watched on a smartphone) and will talk about what they saw when they are in the classroom. Secondly, once the will have produced a painting, they will have to explain it to their parents at home as part of the task.

I support students with learning difficulties and I couldn't say that online class is easy to them. they are having rough time during the lesson, they often get tired in front of the screen and they can not see it as a chance or entertainment while learning. We weren't ready for anything, and we learned: to use tools, to collaborate, to continue to maintain dialogue and to self-evaluate. The times and outcomes of these first, important, tiring learning are being consolidated. The fact is that the integrated modalities are linked to the pandemic and, culturally, we need to think that everything "will be as before". Families with limited means almost always got help and were humble and helpful. If, on the other hand, the problem is cultural or emotional, there is distance both when we are at school and when we are remotely. Technologies are a tool, they cannot replace the beliefs or resources that are activated to support children. Certainly not being in school makes it easier for these cases to find ways of not letting the children participate. And it really becomes ugly, the presence is essential to guarantee their right to study even if with difficulty.

Some have adapted to this Post-COVID distance learning environment pretty well, others haven't! Αs I am a teacher of mathematics to the Upper High School in Greece, I would say that my students (16-18 years old) have both the basic (even advanced) knowledge and the technological equipment for a both synchronous and asynchronous teaching, necessary conditions for a part of the blended learning process. The main problem is that at that age and with their mind and motivation “trapped” and “anchored” to the “higher goal” of National Exams, they have to, devotedly, study hard the traditional behavioristic paper and pencil way. My students are very well familiar with technologies. My students are 7-8 years old. All of them have computers and Internet connection (better or worse). Theyhave enough skills to use technology for blended learning. But they're not autonomous and organized, they depend of their parents. Some parents think that a distance learning is something unserious and noncompulsory.

My students don't usually use their computers or mobile devices for learning but only for playing so I think that it's difficult for them to follow online classes. I think that they will be get used to it in a short period of time but it will be more difficult for their parents who some of them don't know how to use a computer or enter in a virtual platform. It's a pity because my students are children in lower Primary education and they can't do it without their parents' help. So it is difficult to use blended learning in this case.

I teach in a low secondary, I think my students are ready to face a blended learning approach: they can use their devices pretty well, have experienced different kinds of approaches and tools since February 2020 and are open to new ideas.
The only real problem we have is the poor internet connection in our rural area, and the lack of computers for students who come from economically deprived families.
In my school we have adopted a BYOD policy and this has helped us develop a more sustainable use of technology but we still have problems with internet.

I`m a Geography teacher in a small village of the interior of Portugal. This region has a lot of problems, related to unemployment, unstructured families, emigration and other difficultues. So, in this case the blended learning is not easy to effectuate. Many students do not have the support of their parents and the school that served as their "shelter" ceases to exist and at home many of them feel unmotivated. Not everyone has the technological conditions to learn. Students with greater difficulties have more problems and inequalities increase. For these cases, mixed education is more effective.

Children from an early age know how to use many technological applications, devices, and social platforms. In some cases, they do it better than adults. I have systematically noticed this in my students.

However, the purpose is to make use of this experience in school learning objects. Usually, children use all of the above for entertainment and communication. I can write an example. Many of my students use augmented reality glasses. When we need to use them in the geography lesson, the children have minimal motivation.

The second is to have a reliable connection and equipment to all students so as not to create new educational inequalities.

Most of my students (14-18-year-olds) proved capable of using the technology needed to attend classes (MS Teams, in our case), communicate (e-mail and WhatApp) and perform some tasks (recording videos and sending them, answering quizzes on MS Forms, uploading docs, and sharing screens). With a little guidance I don't think they would find it much harder to deal with Padlet, Canva, Mentimeter, etc. What I would say could make them wince at BL would be the extra time required to do some tasks, as some of their timetables (the professional courses' classes, for instance) are very loaded.

I teach English as a foreign language in the Netherlands. My students are 14-18 years old. For a Foreing language it is quite fun to learn this in a group of your peers, especially productive skills such as speaking and writing are better to practice together in a class. Speaking is a skill that needs to be covered in a group/class of peers.

Blended learning can lead to students falling behind as the teacher can not always see how and what students are doing.

However, some students are perfectly capable to learn at their own pace in a blended way. When learning new vocabulary, grammar and doing short exercises most of my students can work on in their own pace and decide which items have priority. I therefore think that there can be a mix between blended and on-site learning.

Most of my students (11-14 years old) have a computer or tablet at home and know how to work online.
As teachers we provide basic forms of digital literacy so they know how to use a word processing program, how to upload and download pictures and we interact using Edmodo even when we are in class. Last year we started with synchronous video lessons during the first lockdown and this year things are going much better. The problem is often with other teachers or parents who are a

I teach secondary school students aged 15-19. Most of them own a computer/laptop/tablet or use their mobile phones and are very skillful at using them - not always for learning purposes, which they had to learn quite quickly. However, as many of them live in villages outside the town, internet connection might sometimes be a problem. Some of them use it as an excuse not to connect to online learning. I teach English, and blended learning provides many opportunities for us. There are things that students can do online and independently - for instance work with a text (reading and listening at their own pace), online live - discussions, chats, but classroom activies are something that my students started to appreciate the most - like role-plays, games, etc. Generally, the communication with the parents is standard, although sometimes they are not aware their children do not attend online classes because they are at work during the day.

Both me as a teacher and the students have made a huge leap since last year , when it was a change in one night. A big number of students have the equipment needed and internet . However a considerable number try to follow lessons from mobiles and with very bad internet connections, so their participation is hindered. Sharing computers with other family members is a common problem, as well as sharing the room with others.
So having distance learning for a long time is a problem, but blended learning can be helpful.

Most of my students (age 16-19) have a computer at home, although sometimes they share there devices with their siblings.
They are familiar with many learning apps we use at school and, in addition, we have started using the G -suite since March 2020, so they’re quite IT-proficent. However, any time I propose an activity using a learning app I make sure they are familiar with it or, if they’re not, I present the most important elements in class.
The problem is with the internet connection, which doesn’t always work properly, especially when we are in school and there are many people trying to connect at the same time.

One year ago the experience of both (teachers and students) was quite limited but the strategies, the rules, the means were improved and nowadays I consider that most of my students are prepared to work online or at school. Of course their own environment is in some cases a strong limitation because they don't have the adequate equipment, the place or even the quietness they need. So even though many of them have now the ability to work by themselves and continue on a good pace at school some (the youngest) are not quite prepared. For them the teacher supervision at school is essential and when this supervision is not present they tend to loose themselves and just pretend they are learning.

I would say that in my school the remaining problems are more of a technical nature than of human resources (both students and teachers)

In March last year, my students were sad when they were forced to go on home during the confinement. They loved to go to school learning to be scientists! If teaching were at a distance, how could they continue to carry out their research, their experiences? Fortunately, with my teaching method this continued to be done, even at home. One of the virtues of my teaching method is precisely to prepare students for unpredictability and to be autonomous. As they acquire greater autonomy and critical thinking, my students quickly adapted to the new situation of the pandemic and soon began to develop new research projects. In my 6th grade class, in the content of healthy eating, they did scientific research on the importance of nutrients in strengthening the immune system and combating COVID-19. The scientific review article was published in the regional press and at national level. Following this study, another group of students from our Science Club developed a prototype of an ANTI-COVID diffuser. That is, with my new teaching method and using digital platforms, for example ZOOM and MOODLE, it is possible that students will continue to do research at home, continue to be interventionist in society, individually or in groups, working on scientific projects and learning as effectively as they are in person at school. With my support during the online classes via digital platforms, the results of the various projects were discussed. Some students have done research work so good that they will be submitted to national and international competitions.

I consider that my students’ learning maturity, technological skills, and readiness for independent learning, is enough. In fact, I have already trained them to be able to work online, since many times they have been confined this year and had to keep up with work from home. Also at the beginning of the course I checked about their home environments, if they had access to a computer, software programs that we use in class and a reliable connection at home. Finally, for them, as future office employees, it will be a necessity to be able to work remotely. So I would say they are ready now because we have checked and trained them accordingly. Now the hardest part is for me to work from home with 3 kids :)

While observing my students, I find that they are not ready for online schooling. Blended-learning could be an option, but being in school is very important for my students. Although they are in high school, their ability to take responsibility for their learning is low, and they do not always have the right learning conditions at home. Technology is incredibly important in my blended preschool setting. Each week, we use desktop computers for our math curriculum and letter and letter-sound awareness games through Starfall. I teach in a second class at primary school. My pupils, in addition to being still young, are mostly foreigners and not everyone has a computer and a stable connection at home. I had to teach most of my students (vocational school) how to use basic tools, such as email, TEAMS, microsoft tools etc.
Some didn't have a computer or a good internet access, but fortunately our government is provides a laptop and internet access to the students who need them the most.
Even with our (school/teacher/government) support, some students had to go back to school because they weren't succeeding, mostly due to their social situation: helping the parents at work or taking care of siblings; parents without competences ( technological/ or studies) to helps them; students who don't follows rule and/ or miss a lot of classes....
I would say most students are ready for a blended learning approach, but we are aware that some aren't/ can't deal with it.

Taking into account the experience with distance learning in the first confinement because of COVID-19, my school has trained students and teachers to use Office365. So, when we had to confine again, at the end of January, students and teachers had more knowledge of the tools of distance learning. All students know how to use digital tools and platforms but they sometimes have to face technical problems which do not let them participate in the class. Furthermore, students cannot understand the concept of alternative assessment, autonomous learning or studying without feeling stressed for the exams. There are many things to be done so that there is a completely different approach to what learning means in general. They also miss interaction with their peers and some of them have to face serious problems at home. However, they find it more relaxing since they do not have to go to school and they really like using digital tools. Learning seems to be more interesting to them and they really like sharing things online with the class. I believe that we can use blended learning but only if there is a clear plan on the way that it can occur.

My students have sufficient technological skills ( they even act as "mentors" for me concerning tec advice on innovative tools sometimes!), they have gotten used to adopting padlets (and eclass tools) in their everyday learning routine in order to present their work, collaborate and assess their peers' work. They are also used to working independently on their own or in groups on line as well as asynchronously. And they have parents who stand by them and support them in every learning challenge they face. Internet connection is the only flaw sometimes. So, I think my students are "mature" enough for a blended learning approach - it' s what they've been doing for some time actually.

My students know how to handle technology and they have more or less good internet connection, but they are not as motivated to participate in activites as they are when we are in school. Some of them are very responsible and independent, but there are also those who don't put enough effort to do the tasks and rather cheat. My students are already and will continue to grow up in a world that’s a stark reminder of how rapidly the human civilization has changed, a society and world where smartphones and tablets are widespread, affordable, and replacing most computers and laptops.

Blended learning is important because it breaks down the traditional walls of teaching, ones that don’t work for all students and now with access to present-day technologies and resources we can tailor the learning experience for each student. I teach in a high school in a city. My students do not have technical problems or lack of Internet connections. Yet, some of them are camera-shy, others found an easy way to be more relaxed during classes.
The most important issues for them, though, are:
1. They think they can deal with their time and learning pace, but mostly they mismanage the studying experience, leaving everything on the last minute or relying exclusively on online sources, instead of thinking with their own minds.
2. The feeling of loneliness which comes from individual study.
Nonetheless, blending physical activities with occasional digital/individual ones could be the success key to refreshing educational experience.

As an aspiring educator, I can only provide my experience based on my observations of how the school system in my country and the class I observed functioned during the current pandemic. Since the department of education in various parts of the country dictate the way blended learning should be implemented during the pandemic, it has caused numerous problems for educators and students. The only role the educator has in terms of blended learning is to design lessons that reflect what the department of education has established for the pedagogical model, meaning teachers do not have much flexibility on how to implement blended learning. Because of administrative limitations, learners would not be as prepared as they should be for blended learning if teachers were allowed to design an implement their own form of blended learning.

My students are 15-18 years old. One of the subjects in school is computer science and they should be computer literate, but that is not always the case. I tell them, spend 10% of the time you spend with your cell phone on your computer and you will be computer literate enough. Their readiness for blended learning is individual and different from student to student. I think most students have developed independent learning skills. Some students have all the necessary technological prerequisites, but some don't. The Ministry and the school took care of most of the students, as far as technological equipment is concerned, but there is not a strong enough signal in all parts, ie a telecommunication connection. I’m not sure students would have equal parental support, but some would certainly have problems.

Iteach Lower Secondary students. They do not like on-line lessons and after the lockdown we enjoyed our reunion. Their digital competences are not at the level of the new requests. They have two classes a week and they are not enough skilled - they have developed independent learning skills, those who have the neccesary technological devices to do that. The Ministry and the Mayor's office took care of most of the students who could not afford the equipment, but the platforms we work on are not interested to support us, not Internert connection, they unsubscribed us from Zoom, and not enough parental support.
From my point of view the digital abilities requested are a little too high, I have to get more IT competences, and I do it every day.

During this school year I teach face to face in school and I am satisfied, despite the great health and psychological challenges we are going through, as otherwise it would be a complete failure of the teaching and learning process.

I'm involved in adult education. For the majority of my students the courses are payed by the company and ICT tools are provided by the company.
The courses are regulated by an international standard and all the activity is synchronous.
In this context the only advantage is that there is no need to commute both for students and trainers, but there are all the disadvantages of poor technology.
For other kind of courses blended learning is a big opportunity for adult learners (provided they have sufficient digital skills): possibility of choosing time and pace, simpler one-on-one activities, no limitations due to distance, timezone, ...: all advantages due to async activities.
But considering the high rate of low-skilled adults in Italy, I suspect that it'll be difficult to build on those advantages...

I work in a night senior high school. Our students are mainly adults who work in the day. Most of them have also families and various other obligations.
During the pandemic and because of the lockdown we have been working with a digital platform having both synchronous and not synchronus lessons. Most of the students managed it with the technology and it worked for them. There were a few though who couldn't follow both senior adults and students in their twenties.

I teach English for the catering and hotel industry and my students are adults, late forties, this year, so it is kind of tough when we have to do something online because they lack knowledge as far as using Power point, edmodo, ciscowebex and so on, because they are not familiar with these tools and if asked they would choose in-school learning.
I also own a private academy, where I teach English to 3year-olds to 70 year-olds. The situation here is quite different, they have the means to work online and on average most students know how to get by but this obviously depends on their age and if they need an adult to help them, that is when it gets tricky, for instance if in quarantine, I don't see myself teaching 3 to 8 years old online because they would need an adult in most cases, so in-school learning I must say is prefererable in this case.

I don't know my students that well, yet. (I've only started working at the school in March.) However, I know that the access to technical resources varies greatly among students. Some of them use tablets to take their notes (and they are allowed to do so in class, too), others have to share their devices with parents or siblings. Some parents have installed children access control so that students may only use their computer for a certain period of time (which is rather difficult for video conferences). My school is located in a rural area, many people don't have a reliable Internet connection at home. There is no reliable WiFi connection at school, either.

Independent learning has developed since the beginning of Covid; however, I think that many students can't adapt well to digital learning environments. Some of them simply disappear and don't hand in their assignments (maybe due to Internet connectivity problems), others seem very distracted or copy tasks from their friends.

Most of the students have their own smartphone and are acquainted with popular apps such as WhatsApp or Instagram; they sometimes lack the understanding of the bigger picture behind or cannot use basic functionalities (e.g. sending a picture via mail from their phone).

Being engaged in eTwinning projects for a couple of years, my students got acquainted with some strategies of learning by themselves , to collaborate in groups, share their points of view and respect the netiquette. I provided my 9th graders a debating tip template and some " noisy classroom' videos to gain first exposure to new material outside of class, and then they used class time zoom session to engage in a debate . The students were motivated to show their best furthermore they encouraged each other .

My students are adolescents. They all have access to the internet but they only use it for social media and games. They do not have other digital skills (a year ago they didn't know how to send an email or create a word document). I'm afraid the same goes for the majority of their parents. In addition, they live in villages where connections are not reliable and do not offer high internet speed. Luckily, the pandemic experience that forced us into ERT has helped a lot towards improving this situation. During the phases of distance learning, I noticed that students who are able to work well in face-to-face lessons and who do so can also work well in distance learning and are able to organize themselves. Technical difficulties are addressed promptly by these students and can usually be resolved quickly. The other students, who also have difficulties in face-to-face lessons, either work surprisingly well (the parents are very behind in this case) or cancel completely (parents are unable to help their children due to time or for other reasons). We tried to promote the latter students through special measures. Unfortunately, we have only partially succeeded in doing this.
We were able to compensate for deficits in the technical equipment of the students at home by lending them mobile devices.

My students, 9-10-11 years old, already, passed to different moods and phases during this last year of studing. They have the chance to have a tablet, computer or internet connection at their disposal. I grow up with them in this field of BL and I also recorded their reactions of this period. The majority of them understood the new way of learning and did well in all areas. I have also students who become indifferent indolent or tried to play on the computer or mobile, taking advanteges of keeping the camera and the mirophone closed. Most of my students are tech skilled but they differ in terms of access to devices and net connection. In terms of predesposition many had a negative feeling towards blended learning and from my understanding it was linked to some parents' same thoughts. So many didnt have any support not only due to lack of parents guidance. Having the tools in the science classroom (interactive whiteboard with computer and internet connection), I used to aply blended learning before the pandemic of covid 2019.Most students (13-16 years old) are digitally informed and connect to a cell phone or tablet. They all had the support of their teachers and parents.Thanks to the webex platform, they are connected free of charge through the account of the pan-Hellenic school network. How tech-savvy are the learners? Students have had to learn how to use and work on the different platforms and tools their teachers have asked them to use to take class and deliver their activities and homework. Some students are familiar with certain platform or tool from previous courses.

Do they have ample access to a computer and a reliable connection at home? I think this is an issue every country has faced. Lack or poor or bad connectivity and old or not updated equipment to meet the needs of the students. Not to mention that they must share the equipment with their siblings or another family member.

How developed are their independent learning skills? There are some students who have received a very good instruction in secondary school and that has provided them with organizational skills to face academic work. Those students have an advantage. But since we are talking about adolescents, it is necessary to model the task and guide them. Help them to understand the culture of the institution to which they belong. Explain the objectives of the subject and the purposes of the subject (English, in my case) the program offers them.

What support would your learners have at a distance, for example from their parents?

Parents have different academic levels and, in the case of English, not everyone can help their children. Students turn more to people close to their age to explain or help them with homework.

It has been a year since we first started using blended teaching/learning and I can say that overall my students are more prepared than they were a year ago. As I wrote in M1 activity Break the ice I teach in a Higher Education Institution, in Lisbon. Last year, in March, during the first lockdown in Portugal, we ran a survey on technologies and internet access of our students and teachers. All had some sort of terminal (desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphones) and internet access (wi-fi, ethernet, 4G). Many had to share with other family members, so the schedule was tight, the wi-fi was unstable or they lived in zones with bad internet coverage. Of course, some of them are not so skilled as others, so I tried to help them with video demonstrations of the procedures and pointing them to the resources they need to solve technical problems.

In conclusion, if we are talking about Emergency Remote Education, it was OK. But if we talk about b-learning activities and resources, I doubt the vast majority of students and teachers are used to this modality.

All of my students have an internet connection, but many do not have a computer. Some have a mobile phone, but given the functionality profile of these students, it is more difficult to work on the mobile phone with all the pedagogical applications. Most parents do not have technological skills to help their children, dominating only the use of the mobile phone in the context of messages and calls.

To remedy this situation, in the face-to-face classes I work with tools that may be useful for distance learning and that can be used in the equipment that students have.

Given the students' interest in technology, many of them are able to quickly master and use it properly.

I work with primary and lower secondary students.Our Ministry of Education helped them and provided with some tablets during this pandemic time so all of them can work online.
The problem is that most of them have smartphones and not all of them are suitable for some apps and resources we use.For synchronous lessons is more difficult to collaborate, or see the teacher's screen as it should be.
Students missed a lot face to face school interaction, especially the primary ones.
In my school there are some students who enjoyed using different web tools and apps and these are prompt to answer teacher's tasks and there are also slower students who need more time to acquire the rights skills to do the tasks in time.
Lack of parents' supervision at home is visible .
Primary students need the help of their parents while they are online.So first of all we should train parents how to use a certain online tool.I had many questions from parents to clarify how to connect to the online classroom.

The majority of my students are 14 years old and experts in social media. When it comes to distance learning though, I can't say the same. In the beginning, I was concerned about their readiness for using on line platforms and web2 tools or copying with technical issues. To be honest I realised that they needed to learn a lot as we the teachers, of course. The good thing is that at this age they are fast learners. So I 'm not concerned about their abilities to use technology. What I think they need to develop is their independent learning skills. It is the first time for them that are exposed in a different way of learning. Some of them have already adjusted showing remarkable flexibility, but the majority, I reckon, they still have some way to go. Connection problems and technical issues are always there, but I don't think of them as the major issue. Overall, I would say I'm optimistic that my students and I can respond positively to this challenge.

Without any nagging mood but under a ''cold'' valuation of the circumstances my students - I am working in a low financial level area full of emigrants who can hardly speek Greek - suffer of a lack in both technological skills and the relevant equipment. Most of them (about 90%) use cellphones for distance learning due to pandemic, without any aid from their parents and even the use of a calculator is an issue. Their skills follow the general rule since their learning environment is determined by the blackboard, (As a result teaching them is not only a matter of competences but also a kind of social contribution, with this last sentence not responding to the purpose of this padlet)

I teach students with special educational needs, learning disabilities, behavior problems and at risk of dropping out of school. I believe that ICT tools are very important on student learning. They can help to increase school success and reduce dropout. All of my students have an internet connection, but many do not have a computer. Some have a mobile phone, but given the functionality profile of these students, it is more difficult to work on the mobile phone with all the pedagogical applications. Most parents do not have technological skills to help their children, dominating only the use of the mobile phone in the context of messages and calls.

I try to provide a solution, in face-to-face classes, I work with tools that may be useful for distance learning accordingly to the equipment that students have. Given the students' interest in technology, many of them are able to quickly use web 2.0 tools properly.

I work with students with mental disabilities, aged 14 and up.
My students love educational applications, such as boombuzlle, learning apps, twinkl, thinglink, google earth, etc. Although we encountered difficulties because the students did not have tablets or laptops, we managed to work from mobile phones. These were not very efficient but after a few months I received tablets and laptops. So began the process of training students that lasted almost four months. But now I am convinced that my students would be ready for blended learning.

The age of my students ranges from 10 to 14. One would say children today have great digital skills since they have accounts on numerous social media. However, at the beginning of the pandemic last year, they proved me wrong. They had problems with the easiest tasks (sending a proper e-mail, addressing the teachers politely, sending assignments, etc.). Things are getting better now, they have got used to online classes. I think that they will get used to blended learning, too.
When it comes to technology, we are grateful that the majority has computers and/or tablets, as well as internet access. Unfortunately, they can`t always rely on their parents if they need help due to the lack of time or knowledge.

My experience with 5th graders was much better than with 8th graders. It would be expected younger sts not to be so autonomous but their interest and motivation made blended lessons more successful. My 8th graders class was very difficult to work with online because most didn't really care to show up in class. These sts need more face-to-face classroom, the presence of teacher is the way to get them
involved and do the necessary tasks.

I teach several subjects at the secondary vocational school. Most of my students have good internet connection. They also have a laptop or a smartphone. What I see as difficulty is that students don´t take the distance learning equally, seriously. But when I do some activities on their mobile devices while they are at school, they like it. I think if we as teachers do not show our students other possibilities and opportunities, they won´t do it just by themselves.

In my opinion, young pupils do not have yet developed independent learning incentives, therefore, they need to be given more gamification than the adults as concerns their learning. I believe BL is ideal for students of all ages, because it increases the interest, the variability, the liveliness and the commitment to a lesson. I think students can have a minimum of medium support in their family. It is to us educators to give enough time to explain to them what is the new learning process that we are about to adopt in the classroom.

For this activity, I have considered a group of adult learners in a VPL process. The process is based on the construction of their e-portfolio, being the core document, the written description of all the skills and competences acquired throughout their lives, i. e., their lifestory. This process is complemented with 50 hour-training in areas in need.

Being adults, autonomy, responsibility, and commitment to their goals are already more matured than in younger people and very much required for this context, since adults are there for their own choice and free to go whenever they want to. Those who persist can engage faster and stronger. But being independent does not mean that they do not need a word of encouragement, real interaction, in-school activities to help with doubts and support the e-portfolio construction.

For adult education having online classes and activities was a very much praised opportunity. The reasons pointed out were: less travelling to the school, more flexibility to manage personal and family life; easier and more willing to attend classes (zoom meetings); true enjoyment of the online classes activities.

Their technological skills are also integrated in the methodology we use. Learners must write their life story using a word processor, share it in a cloud, be able to collaborate online in shared documents, use browsers, download, use social networking. So, technologically, the group has the needed skills to engage in blended learning. A bigger problem would be the access to devices, namely computers, and connectivity. Some still struggle with difficulties to overcome this and give up.

Communication and support at distance is provided by regular contact between the teaching team and the adult learner: chats, e-mail, social networking, zoom meetings, notes and guidelines in the shared e-portfolio. On the other side, support can be provided by the family members. Children usually help with any technical constraints; others discuss and provide ideas and help with the whole construction of the portfolio. Having moved the adults’ “school” into their living room made the whole family become a part of this process and are proud of their mother or father who decided to go back to school and invest in its education.

To complete the final portrait, we are aware of the needs: all technical difficulties have to be addressed since the beginning to be solved in time, if possible; make sure the adult learner has any support at home to cope up with the process and prevent any discouragement; be attentive and provide support and feedback regularly.

It’s impossible to give a straightforward answer to this question, as students are completely different from each other, live in different areas, and come different social-economic backgrounds. Some of them are pretty mature, autonomous learners, engaged and self-motivated, while others need constant guidance and support from their teachers. Some don’t have access to the internet, have no computers or smartphones, others have great difficulties accessing the internet and only have a smartphone or tablet, while others have a computer, stable connection at home and parents are there to support them. So, some are ready for a blended learning approach and others not.

I work in a lower secondary school where most of students have no problems with equipment, and if so, school can help them by lending devices.
Their digital skills can also be balanced by working in the school labs where they can practice and get familiar with the tools they would need also for home activities.
The main issue is their young age (11-14) and consequent lack of independence and self-direction.
There are also many different learning styles and some need more guidance than others.
What they need most is the peer interaction and continuous feedback to avoid lost of motivation.
They also have parents who don't always approve digital learning tools and active learning methodologies because they are afraid of not being able to compare their own experience of school with the new one.

My school is located near countryside and many of my students are tecnologically disabled. Many of them don’t have an healthy learning environment at their homes; for example especially in winter months they share the same room with all their family members where there is the fire. With pandemic, many of them got equipped with smart phones and tablets but mostly they do not have a computer and they cannot use every digital tool from their equipments. There is another challange: they need to share their vehicles with their brothers and sisters who also have online classes. During the pandemic we learned many digital tools and my students improved their digital skills. There is no doubt that due to the pandemic, teachers managed to adopt many digital skills as well as blended methods into the teaching process. I teach in a secondary school in Athens, and I have to admit that my students adapted themselves quite efficiently to the new Learning Environment of distance learning. Most of them have a good internet connection, and they get access through a computer or tablet, although there are still few students that have access only through mobile phones. That fact is a difficulty for me, because taechers' target is to share knowledge, or discover knowledge, with all the students. This requires sufficient equipment from the part of the students. There are even families that don't pay any attention to this requirement: for instance, a few students could not participate in my course, because their cellphone had a ruined camera or microphone - so, communication was problematic and parents surprisingly indifferent to that situation...

Last year when I teach to a Vet Courses there are a lot of differents profiles. I have a big group of students who has a lot of competences and interested in this kind of learning. In the other hand there a small group of astdents who don´t have any ICT competences and for whom isvery difficult to lear with this kind of way of teaching.

Apart from that, some of the parents are very supportive and help their kids but others don't have the time or the skills needed to support them. It is not only the fact that not all of my students ( age 15 -18) have the necessary technological equipment or reliable connection at home, or support from their family for blended learning. The main problems I have to deal with are their learning maturity and their independent learning skills . Even if a lot of my students can be regarded as tech-savvy , the use of digital tools and the web is sometimes restricted to copy and paste when it comes to learning activities. Even the gamification of learning procedure is somehow " boring" for some students . Misconceptions and a totally different learning culture - cultivated for years- are the problems that concern me the most.

I don't think that all my students (11-19 y.o.) are ready for blended learning on a regular basis. Very many students come from poor or troubled families, thus they do not have even a device to open the school e-diary to see the marks or what is to do as a home task. Another problem is a reliable internet connection. This school year we often face the problem of being disconnected while Zoom lessons, for example. In my work I normally use google forms for themes final tests, while doing which students are getting kicked out of them and are forced to start the tests from the beginning. It also happens with work on Zoom or with other internet sources. Eventually, younger students will benifit more from in-school learning environment to develop comprehensive and communication skills.
With senior classes I will definitely try to implement the bleded learning as they are more mature to combine distance and in-school environments and are capable of solving technological problems.

At school they have learnt the tools they will need to use at distance, the problem is that they are very young and they need to be with friends, they need to play and jump and run which is not possible at home.

I believe that most of my learners (I teach Senior High School students, aged 15-18) would be ready for a BL approach but not all of them ufortunately..
Being born in the era of great technological advancement, they become very well-acquainted with new technologies at a very early age.They are extremely comfortable (much more than us teachers) with the use of new gadgets and all sorts of applications.My recent experience on remote teaching proved exactly that. They were able to send in homework and do projects without any problem and even our online testing was carried out just fine.
The problems we had to face basically lay in the poor internet connection some of them had, which oftentimes caused them to feel disappointed and demotivated.
Their independent learning ability/maturity is another field that needs betterment as not all of them seem willing to assume such responsibility for themselves and consider remote teaching as merely requiring connection to the teaching platform and the virtual classroom and nothing else. I believe that this is a problem that the implementation of the BL approach will tackle in time as students will be educated to see both in-class and online teaching and/or activities as equally important.
Finally, students attitude to BL surely also depends on parental support, ecouragement and the whole atmosphere in the home.
I noticed that in a couple of cases- due to lack of space apparently-students had to share the same room with their siblings during
the onine lessons, which made it difficult for them to concentrate. Many of them also lacked the right equipment and joined classes through their mobile phone. This alone was a major problem.
So, indeed, the issue is multidimensional.

I don't think the vast majority of my students are ready for blended learning. Family and financial situations in individual families are unenviable. Not everyone has the technology they need, and what the state allows them to do is minimal. But they are ready to accept help and as much as they are run as a generation living online with technology, I notice that they don't really know how to use it. They follow posts on social networks and play games, but apply technology for a purpose that is more than fun they do not know. Most of them are willing to accept help.

Most of the my students are ready for blended learning. They have been training for year in technological skills and have an ample access to a computer o tablet and a good connection at home. However, a small part of my students, have still problem to get a reliable connection at home and therefore the have less technological skills. My experience is similar to many of my collegaues here. I teach English in a junior high school and most of my students , aged 12-15, had a good Internet access connection as well as access to an electonic device , though a big number of them did their online lessons through mobiles which isn't always convenient. Most are quite computer and tech-literate , I would say, though i did notice cases of students who didn't know some of the basic tools, like emails, attachments, word document e.t..c. Also, when presented with the option of doing some homework in the traditional pen-paper way or using digital tools, a lot of them, to my surprise, chose the first. However, I think that they can be trained for blended learning and develop into more autonomous learners. The need the proper scaffolding as well the framework to be set by us. The family environment does play a crucial role as parents need to be trained and acquainted with the new learning options. What concerns me though is students with special learning needs or difficulties.

I think that my learner’s team could respond at blending learning. They are familiar to digital means and the like trying new methods and tools. On the other hand I am not very sure if they are mature and disciplined enough to follow efficiently rules and principles of blended learning. Will they do their work by them selves following the right way? Will they all try to participate and work fairly in their team? A new method is a challenge and usually is not accepted easily. My students are very privileged as they attend a private school, where they already had access to many computer rooms and computers with good internet connection and so on… of course, they are not technical literate, but with a little effort they are keeping up and learning how to obtain basic digital skills. I work in 4 Primary schools that belong to the same group of schools and I have different realities in a universe of 8 classes. I have students with digital means and skills that have their parents support, but I also have students that don't have digital means nor digital skills and most of the times parents can't help because they don't know how too. Our schools don't have many digital means but when we got back to school in September I manage to do some activities in the ICT classroom trying to give them some skills they will need if they have to go home again, what happened a few months later. That activities helped the most of the learners to get to the basic digital skills such as consulting an email and entering the Google Classroom app. I tried to sent them homework through Google Classroom app where they worked in different apps but when we were in Distance LE some of my students didn't have a computer or wifi at home, that kind of issues shouldn't be a problem nowadays but they still are and that doesn't depend of the student desire to learn.
Anyway I think my students are ready for blended learning and I believe we are already doing it. ;)

I teach two different type of learners. First the younger ones, aged 10. They still lack technologicall skills and it was quite difficult for some of them to have classes from home. Some of them don't have a good wifi connection and others lack digital devices (the school had to lend them an ipad). Nevertheless they like to have digital assignements( I send them something every week, depending on the subject-a video, a PPT, a liveworksheet...). So I think they might be ready for blended learning.
My older students would enjoy it for sure. They have good technological skills, they like innovation and creativity in the classroom and blended learning can provide that. My students are at different level:
- younger one are weak about web risks

In order to explore their use of ICT I know that pandemic period help them to be more conscious and more able in using technology but there is a great job to do. I don’t think most of my students are ‘ready’ for blended learning, but I believe they adapt more easily than most teachers. As far as logistics are concerned, many students are still ‘left unattended’ and teachers are not computer technicians to remediate the issues, on the opposite: teachers are often in need of help and support when adapting to a new environment and to the ever-changing technologies. A reasonable pace for adaptation should be taken into account as there is so much to handle and the pressure may grow out of limits. That said, I’m still in favour of a change for the better :-)

I work at a private school so in terms of having the means they are doing pretty great. I work with primary kids, mainly fourth graders and I can say that they are pretty apt at using technology. So I haven't had any problems with that either. I also have a daughter, who is a second grader and she has adapted pretty quickly to the demands of the online learning environments. There are of course disadvantaged groups but I do not think this problem cannot be solved. It is only a political decision not to.

They can easily learn how TikTok works, but it usually takes them ages to learn how the online course book works. When we were sent home and to look for new ways of teaching and learning, our students showed to be more adaptable than we had thought. Most of them have the necessary skills to engage in blended learning. Most of them completed 100% of their assignments. They were autonomous and creative. Some of them are very self-motivated and need little encouragement. But there are also those who, because they are less motivated or have learning disabilities, feel lost and need more attention and guidance. The major difficulty was to provide the technological means that students needed. Many of my students didn't have a personal computer. If there was a computer home, usually it was shared with their parents and siblings. Wi-fi was , sometimes, a huge problem since our school is in a rural area. However, I think the experience was positive and that many students will be open to carrying on this adventure.

It was really hard at the beginning of the quarantine, I had to provide them guides, tutorials, videos just to understand how to approach distance learning. Last yea rwas very difficult and challenging. Many of my students didn't know how to manage online tools needed for classes. They, and their parents needed a lot of help and guidance. I teach in a a tech secondary school and SS profile is heterogeneous but many among them do not have suitable devices /connection. They have poor ICT skills and as school facilities are also poor, I'm not always able to help them. So the digital divide widens pre existant social economic cultural divide: who has less gets less.
Some of them may be ready but as they are in most cases SS who were traditionally "good" they sometimes show a prejudice against new, more modern methodologies and activities. It's really hard to teach each of them according to their needs and situation.

The biggest issue i think is the infrastructure. I believe that my students , thanks to the repeated experiences offered by eTwinning projects, are sufficiently ready to face prolonged activities in blended mode. Since I teach university students, some questions and answers are relatively simple:
1. Since every of the students had to complete the basics of working with a computer, every of them is at least at the level of a beginner when working with the Internet and managing files. The problem, however, is the big difference in skills when working with applications, respectively in field of installing the software.
2. after the year of the COVID-19 pandemic, when they were and are forced to study only online without a break, they have gradually secured the necessary HW and SW equipment (with the availability of SW we help them at the university level) as well as a sufficiently efficient Internet connection. Most of them already have two approaches - mobile data, as well as data by wire, respectively wifi. It is a consequence of the loss of their connection during the exams, which they want to avoid in the future.
3. Since they are university students, they are certainly independent and responsible for their studies
4. I am most often supportive, thanks to online applications such as MS Teams, FB, LMS Moodle, e-mail, or they are students / friends from the study group, or from the environment where they live, resp. older classmates

To my mind, being tech-savvy counts for a relevant participation in an online learning environment, but more is needed.

Being independent in learning is a more valuable skill in the context we are dealing with. For instance, 'concentration' and 'memory' will be more useful than knowing much about social media ou internet..

Technology will still be just the means to learning. The set of skills one has to acquire to participate in a LMS or simpler environments may be a bit difficult at the start, but they are much easier to get than the set of attitudes one has to have to follows a lecture. After some months, the tendency is that the technological difficulties will diminish.

Smartphones and computers are widely used by children and teens for gaming and leisure activities. How easy it is for them to get distracted during the lessons now that students are using technology to study? This calls for a more responsible attitude, one that maybe needs to be fostered yet.

In Jordan, schools have been completely depended on online learning and the educational platform for student have recorded videos so we didn't get direct interact with student just sent assignments and replay for student questions so we didn't have fully experience either with in school or online learning, but the main issues that my student have they only have smart phones not laptop or pc and they didnt have stable internet connection

I teach 12-15 age group. Digital skills are unfortunately not at the desired level, but they learn very easily. They are also mentally ready for blended learning. Our disadvantage is that some of my students' homes do not have the necessary technological infrastructure to carry out the distance education process without any problems. Others give priority to some lessons and postpone some lessons. This creates an obstacle for them to attend classes regularly.

I teach in Primary school and that means that kids see it as a bridge to reunite with their classmates and to adjust to the new reality. Generally spaking, this is a generation of digitalized students, which means that they use a variety of apps on a daily basis. It means that most of them are tech-savy, but this does not always imply that they have got internet access at home (my school is in a rather undeveloped region). Their independent learning skills seem to be more of an issue, especially for the first year students, as well as their critical thinking skills. They come from the primary school trained mostly to recite definitions they had learned by heart. They are not used to ask questions, only to answer them. That is why they need support, not only from their parents (who should understand their dilemas and stress ) but also from their teachers (who should understand that shifting to secondary school is a huge and very stressful change for them)

I work with small children, in kindergarten. They are 5 - 6 years old. In-school activities is the best way for them, but, forced by the pandemic situation, we adapt our teaching way to online. It was difficult at the beginning, but after some time, they adapt. They needed parents help to connect to the devices and to use computer and other tools. Nothing is unachievable.

In our schools in Jordan, the student receives his learning by watching videos and doing homework only, so he is far from communicating with his teacher, unfortunately.

Not all of my students are ready to use different apps and I always need some time to go through, step by step, on how to get to use them. They don't have enough technological intuition and knowledge, but then I just have to plan my time good enough to organize the intro into the activities. I teach English to learners from 6 to 12 years old in a state school. In my opinion, maturity and readiness for a blended learning approach depends a lot on their age. Generally, I believe that my students (especially the older ones) are ready enough for a blended learning approach, but all of them need to work more or less on developing and improving their technological skills. The ideal situation would be if a blended learning approach was gradually adopted in my teaching (especially in the case of younger learners). This way, the learners could familiarise step by step with the new learning process.
However, there is a small percentage of students who do not have any access to smartphones, tablets or computers and any technological support from their parents. It's obvious that a blended learning approach would be a problem for them. They couldn't keep up with the learning process.
So, I consider blended learning to be really a challenge!

Unfortunately, there is a gap between the teacher and the learner now, because the pandemic revealed the lack of infrastructure for distance learning, the students ’lack of knowledge of technology and their lack of possession of these devices, in addition to the financial deficit that parents currently suffer from them. This contributed to enhancing students’ unwillingness and reluctance to learn. The learning process I do not think that the future will be better than now if governments do not change educational policies and adopt a different approach that mixes learning in schools and distance learning.

I believe that the answer to this question has to do with students' previous learning opportunities and background. For example, last year I was teaching in a small greek island, where students do not possess many of the means that students of cities take for granted. Therefore, during the lockdown of March 2020 they faced extreme difficulties in coming to grips with both the synchronous and the asychronous learning environment. This year I teach in Athens. Things are completely different concerning the students' ease of using online tools. Of course, each students' background, such as the existence or non-existence of family support is also extremely important.

In Greece, we have implemented blended learning and distant learning since the pandemic started. We were at school for about 2 months and then for the other two at home using the Sisco- Webex Platform. My learners are quite used to it but they face the common problems with poor internet connection, no microphones, not enough pcs at home. Most of them have parents support, however, there others who are constantly absent from the lesson. I believe something must be done from the part of the state as well as to educate the teachers towards adopting new teaching tools and approaches.

When we were forced to go online i had the thought that many students in year 8 and 9 knew how to work a computer, but I quickly learned that asking them to send an email with a picture attached was a difficult task. Students in general do have a better knowledge about techonology than we teachers do. But, some do not have the appropriate equipment for distance learning, others lack a fast enough internet connection, or many are not interested in learning school subjects under these conditions. I also think that a great number between them just prefer distance learning because they can rest in home peace. If blended learning includes visits and outdoor activities I think it's extremelly interesting. I'm afraid students fell boredom again. To sum up, blended learning in my opinion and by my own experience has to be combined with certain rules and goals, limitations and clear kind of contract of coorperation.

My students are from 6-8 years old, they are not very skilled in ICT's, and the confinement situation (due the Covid-19 pandemic) evidenced a lack of means and connectivity in many families. Luckily the situation is better now, and many families have invest in digital devices. At school we are trying to improve their digital skills and all teachers are attending a course to learn about "Google classroom" (or other courses, like this one). This year students are confined 10 days when one member of the group or of their families are sick with coronavirus, so it's a very good moment to try blended learning and it will be very welcome by families.

I teach in middle school so my students are already familiar with using technology. Also, we already use technological equipment in our school. Therefore, I'm sure they are ready for blended learning and reach very good results taking advantage of the strengths of this approach. However, we should take into account technical problems or problems of accessibility to media that our students face when it comes to distance learning tasks. Another limitation is the degree of maturity of students. Those who are not mature enough to work at home they are always making excuses and a good reason is poor internet connection!

Having now taught a full school year in a distant LE, it's clear that the learners at my school might be able to nagivate all apps on their smartphones, but do face difficulties in navigate learning plattforms and apps - it will be great to be able to help directly, and not depend on e-mails and messages. Content can be adapted, but being able to clarify questions directly is more supportive and orientated towards the learner's needs.
