Being and Having: Resisting Becoming Our Successes

being is more important than having, and we are worth more than the results of our efforts. Everyone is more important than work and more important than success. Sometimes, we need to give more attention to our inner growth, and change aspects of our lifestyle, or we need to give more attention to those parts of our lives that have become neglected. Becoming true to ourselves, rather than preoccupied with our successes, will mean learning to live without the intoxication of the praise and affirmation of others.
