         <description><![CDATA[<p>We used to use iBrainstorm (https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/ibrainstorm/id382252825?mt=8) in the past as well (involves colored Post-Its which students can organize). Quizlet (quizlet.com) allows you to create your own list of vocabulary words which is very easy to amend and add pictures to. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Flipping thru Online Video</p><p>MJMFoodie is a youtuber who has excellent preview videos for Economic concepts- students (especially ELLs) can view the cartoony visuals which accompany the video talks, and view them again and again...</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoVc_S_gd_0&amp;list=PL336C870BEAD3B58B" style="font-size: 13px;">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoVc_S_gd_0&amp;list=PL336C870BEAD3B58B</a></p><p>They can also watch these videos which are at a higher level and are better for review.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Easy Blog Jr. (lower elementary and ECC)- students can choose to talk about a photo. The text can be read to students and walk them through posting on their blogs. This helps them improve on their pronunciation way faster than having me repeat for them.</p><p>I love the idea of using Adobe Voice and can't wait to try in my MS group . Perfect for short pieces of presentational speaking in Language classes.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My kids practice a fluency passage each week from Reading A-Z. Since this is just a print out, I record myself using Voxer. Then I send this link out to my kids so they can practice at home by reading along with my voice.</p><p>I also use Educreations to make videos (mostly for math) so my kids can review at home. The only downside is if the kids don't have a strong internet connection or VPN, they can't watch it at home.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>At the HKIS conference this weekend some teachers were talking about using Fluency Tutor on Google apps. </p><p>Book Creator does voice to text, and interesting option for reluctant writers... but may not be as useful for ELLs because you have to enunciate VERY clearly.</p><p>I love the idea of using visual note taking for summation assessment.</p>]]></description>

Some of the high school students have applied and been accepted and they translate talks that have a global connection into their mother tongue; it gets sent to TedTalk translator editors and if approved, their translation gets published!
