For the Neolithic people, they couldn't just move on if there was a famine or something happened to their crop and they would starve since they weren't trained to find or hunt food. The population growth that helped society grow as you said also has now damaged our planet beyond repair, overpopulated it, and declined the health of humans which are not things that we can easily overlook. Just because the Paleolithics competed for food doesn't mean that they disliked or attacked each other. Famines and droughts also occurred in farms in the Neolithic age which killed many people off. It also brought about slavery and white supremacy along with all the inventions that we were living without anyway. The Paleolithics were called hunter-gatherers because that's what they did. They didn't pray for food, instead actually went out to hunt and gather it. The Neolithic people also became greedy and corrupt so would take each other's farms or even steal and kill from each other. Done

There are criminals everywhere in every time period just as there were in the Neolithic age also. The Paleolithics praying proves that they had moral values and they made their own discoveries like fire which helped develop bigger brains. Without that the Neolithic age would never have come. Also, those first discoveries that took us all the way to the Neolithic age still help shape our world today because they are the most important. The Paleolithic age was when the planet and humans were at their best.
