I don't see myself truly and I am not sure who I really am. We are constantly getting compared to others and it really takes a toll on you. I am constantly wanting to change myself and "be better" when in reality I am doing a pretty good job overall. It is hard to be yourself when you are getting told you aren't good enough. I have slowly gotten rid of social media for reasons like these. I am also finding who I am again and not conforming to society. The main ones are being a daughter, sister, friend, girlfriend, and student. These are all pretty self explanatory but it includes being dedicated, passionate, driven, caring, loyal, and supportive. There is no time off when it comes to these roles. It could be in the middle of the night or day when I am needed. I always try my best to be there no matter what because I know what it is like to have no one. Along with those roles, are my jobs. I am an employee to two different companies and I am expected to do two different jobs. At one I have to make pizzas, tend to the ovens, and manage the register. At my other job I spend a lot of time cleaning, organizing, and handling expensive equipment. I also don't think I ever will. I know I need to listen to myself and be happy, but I tend to let things get in the way of that. I am also not as self aware as I thought I was and that is okay. I realized I still have a lot to work on before I am completely myself. We are always evolving and changing so it is easier just to go with the flow. I think I need to be able to let loose more and not care about the little things.
