5. “Admire me, admire my home, Admire my son, he's my clone. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. This land is mine, this land is free, I'll do what I want but irresponsibly. It's evolution, baby!” Pearl Jam fit a lot of messages in this music video, but the ones important to Transcendentalism are ideas about non-conformity and that nature is more important than industry/human development. The scene with the person turning into the man with the tie and the scene with the father and son looking out over their factories are perfect examples of what Emerson and Thoreau hated.

I don't give a dern what other people think What do ya think about that” "What do ya think about that" Is all about the transcendental idea of not caring what other's do or think and let yourself be relaxed while being different.

10. The blend of this mural between humans and nature is the essence of transcendentalism. The Artists of the mural were trying to communicate that as humans we need to improve our connection to nature and all living things. If we can do that we might be able to learn enough about ourselves to live better lives.

It features stories from people of any background-environmentalists, FBI agents, cultists, men who had to father their children from inside a jail cell. I thought this deserved being on my Padlett because these stories awaken you to a scope of life normal people don't get to see. Expanding your boundaries and challenging your norm with new Ideas is what Transcendentalism is all about.
