Description: "The Reasons for the Seasons" by Gail Gibbons starts off by giving the scientific reason for what causes the seasons– the tilt of the Earth's Axis. After giving this description, it goes on to describe what happens during each season on earth in terms of how people celebrate them and adapt to them. It alternates between this physical description and scientific explanation for the remainder of the book– seeking to draw a connection between the two for the reader.
