We use a causative verb when we want to talk about something that someone else did for us or for another person. It means that the subject caused the action to happen, but didn't do it themselves.
There are two main causative verbs:

Have

Get

Causative verb: Have

"Have" expresses the idea that a third person does something for the main subject or that the main character wants someone else to do something for him.
You can also express: give someone the responsibility to do something. Normally this causative verb is used when we talk about services.
Structure:
Have something done: subject + have + object + past participle
She had the car washed.

Have someone do something: subject + have + person + infinitive
We had the gardener trim the bushes.

"GET" usually expresses to convince someone to do something.

STRUCTURE:

Subject + get (got) + person + verb in infinitive

Example: I + got + my car + repaired.
